Hi Mummy, the way this week worked out was like this.
My OH and I fast together and as we had his fathers funeral on Monday we weren't going to fast then. We had decided that we would do Tuesday and Thursday instead but on Saturday evening my husband said to me that he might fast tomorrow (while I was sitting with a glass of wine in hand and some nibbles

). So we had a shorter fast on Sunday (as we didn't stop eating after our evening meal on Saturday) and normal fasts on Tuesday and Thursday. Alternate day fasting - wow! I was worried I'd be climbing the walls but not at all, I really didn't notice any difference.
I plan to go back to Mon/Thurs next week as it suits my lifestyle better but on Monday for the first time ever I plan to fast for 36 hours without any food whatsoever! I have been 5:2ing for 3.5 months and have reached a psychological barrier that 'I'm never going to do this' so I need to shake things up a bit. My father in law essentially died of obesity and I am determined not to go down that route. At the moment I am determined to succeed but my demons are coming out of the closet trying to sabotage my efforts!!!

Mantra 'I will succeed'
