Sorry, just have to add that its freezing here in the Bay of Plenty, NZ. Heating on for the first time this winter, 13c was the high, pouring with rain. Im snuggled up with my friends on my favourite forum . I know that makes us seem like a soft lot down here on the sunny side of the world. .

Like the others Im staying here, but Ballerina seems a little ambivalent

We've been forecast 13 degrees today and are going out on the boat because its so warm for a change! (no, its not a super yacht, still waiting for my internet fortune... Meanwhile we have a little 13' open top fishing boat we take out in the harbour!)

I know this is going slighly off-topic, but I feel I have to interject on this subject ..... we've got the same temp & weather & it SHOULD be nearly summer. However I will not put the heatng back on, I WILL NOT

I had the heating on yesterday

mine's on now. I let the thermostat decide rather than the calendar.

Probably ought to overrule it once May is out.

A/C blasting here. The temperature hit above 40 today and was still in the high 30s when I first ventured out at 8pm.

We will be in the UK on the 3rd of June and as usual will have to pack clothes for every weather! I'm quite looking forward to some Manchester rain

Okay, I gotta say it – I don’t get the competitive thing between forums at all. In fact I hope that anyone who thinks the other forum is better because it’s “official” or for whatever reason just packs up and goes. Bye bye, there's room for all and I wish you the best!!

Why I love this forum:

- I’ve yet to see ANY trolling or spamming let alone even just mean-spirited posts or replies (perhaps they’ve been deleted and I’m just a sheltered innocent, but if so I’m okay with that, too…)
- Administration of this forum is very responsive and top-notch!
- Moogie runs this forum as a community. Examples you ask…? She asks for input on how to categorize forums. She proposes ideas (such as featuring who has lost the most weight) and goes with the group’s feedback. That is so cool…
- Not only do I appreciate the individual progress tracker, I appreciate that little added features appear. No fanfare, they’re just suddenly there… My TDEE calculator appeared to tell me how much I should eat. Felt like a surprise present when I found it...
- The ability to look at forum stats to see the averages for others on this same journey.
- The range of topics – from just plain support for people having a hard day to the scientific.
- While there are so many people who contribute wonderfully to this forum, my greatest appreciation is for moogie, carorees and dominic.

Probably a bunch of other reasons, but that'll do for now.

So, thanks for telling me about the new M&M forum but I ain’t going nowhere…

Sun came out here today, so we warmed up. I went to a cook school at Somerset Cottage the best restaurant in the district, learned how to make steamed pork buns, a great chicken dish and a fancy apple pie crumble thing. Very hard way to spend a sunday!!
