Well it that time of the week and my new friendship with my scales have taken a hit this week they went in the wrong direction up instead of down . :curse:
So i'm back up to 109.7 kg but I've read enough of others journey here to know it might not be a tragic as it first appears but it still feels crappy.
I know I haven't been keeping my fluids up this week and I've been skipping my morning green tea due to being unwell.A not so lovely co worker decided 'i'm sick and contagious I know i'll go to work to share my germs' and thus with my reduced immune system I naturally have caught it after just getting back on track with my health :frown:
I 'm just about over blowing my nose and having laryngitis (which isn't so bad according to my DH), so even though I fitted in my fast days I wasn't as careful as I usually am and reverted back to some old habits this week which if i'm honest with myself didn't actually make me feel any better.
Ok so enough boo hoo poor me time to get positive
Waist measurement went down 2cm after been stuck for weeks, weight gain is probably water retention due to not keep hydrated enough so starting today morning green tea and fill water bottle to take with me everywhere and don't dwell on what I cant change make a new plan starting today .
Lets see what a new week brings

Ok I confess I did have s sneaky jump on the scales this morning after a good fast day yesterday even fitted in a couple of 10 minute brisk walks ,now I know for many that doesn't seem like much but for me its a huge step forward exercise I was sure I was allergic to it....anyway where was I, yes the scales and I are now friends again they are telling me I'm now 108.4kg today now it isn't Saturday so the result doesn't count but its funny how just getting positive feedback for an inanimate object is nice.

Its that time again and after a week when our old prime minister become our new prime minister again I'm now 109 kg

Had two good fast days this week and feeling good in general just about over the lasted sniffle and managed a bit of *shutter* exercise of the walking variety but no change on the tape measure this week.

My first goal to get my BMI under 40 is so close I really wanted to get there this month :curse: but alas that is not to be until July very early July.

:victory: :victory: :victory: First goal reached this morning jumped on scales only 300g loss for this week but it enough to reduce my BMI to now in the 30s
Its been 11 weeks since I started on the 5:2 WOL and 10 week since I joined this forum and I don't think I would have made it this far on my own so big hugs and high fives to all for support ,great advice and tips given.
Now to set a new goal ....I will have to think on that one for a bit as wasn't expecting to reach target today as yesterday I had a huge feast day after work with plenty of wine and with all the nibbles that tend to accompany such occasions yes cheese and crackers you know I'm talking about you.

Ok off to think of new target and update weigh loss for June

thanks Betsygr8

I've thought long and hard about setting my next goal and I think it should be to get below 100kg( 15 stone 10.5 lbs) approx. 2 stone loss from current weight for those whom aren't metric

I know this is a huge ask of myself but I really think I need to aim high after really quick drop in weight to start with I seem to have settled down into more realist weight loss over this last month, so getting below 100kg will take a bit of time plus effort, but hey I'm not going anywhere after 11 week 5:2 is working for me have blood tests better than they have been in over 12 months to back it so lets dream big and get smaller

Congrats on moving down into the 30s Tammz! :like: I am sure you can reach your next goal too; there's no rush and the beauty of this way of eating is that it doesn't feel like hard work does it? The best of luck to you!

Saturday sure does roll around quickly and it scales time again and to say to result were a shock would be an understatement.
Currently weigh in at 110.3kg
Thats is over 1kg GAIN this week. :curse:
All of the great work done thru June seem to have reappeared, BMI back over 40 :frown:
I've only done one fast day this week so far and was planning second fast day for today but am feeling like I'm not sure atm what to do.
I've updated my progress tracker as I think it good to record the ups as well as downs with this journey. So today was definitely not a good day after such great results when starting 5:2 it like my body is say hey hang on a minute I'm not sure about all this change so quickly, I don't know what to do i'm off to do a bit of thinking . :?:

Hang in there! If you give up in despair, then it's very likely that the weight would quickly return. I'm in a situation not dissimilar to yours, having roughly a similar amount to lose, and it's just been static for the last month or so. But I can see small improvements, and I don't have a better plan. I certainly don't want to go backwards (beyond the normal bounce). I just try to keep well below weekly energy requirements, and make sure that one day in the week is well provisioned (so my body doesn't get the idea that I'm starving).

Some of the positive changes (e.g. gaining muscle) won't show up as weight loss.

Good for you Tammz. A little positive reinforcement from the scale does so much for the ego. Also, I have noticed my skin glow lately. I have had the cold past two weeks and ate lots of popsicles and ice cream and bubbly soda for the throat so I don't expect to lose this week. Whatcha gunna do.

I been off for a think and have decided for whatever reason my body is just having a moment so I'll just right this week off as a bad one and start next week a fresh no guilt, do my Monday/Thursday fast days as usual fingers crossed it works.
