Weight Maintenance

A couple of unsettled weeks of overindulgence and I'm 1.6kg over my maintenance weight!!

It's going to be a day of fasting today, and Friday, and every morsel put in my mouth weighed and accounted for the next two weeks. That's my pledge - out there for you all to see. That should be enough to get me back in my zone.

Good wishes to all my fellow fasters and mainteneers. :clover:
Good luck @Otter - I'm sure you will be able to lost the 1.6kgs easily. I hope you enjoyed you fortnight of over indulgence!
I'm not fasting this week, weight still at minimum and I'm not very hungry so I'll see what the scales say next week. Not running either, on a week's rest which is probably why my appetite has dropped!
Well, the slope of the little Otter river was getting a bit boring, so here we are, all watching a nice downward curve comming up very soon!
Good luck, it will happen
Hi all :)

I did achieve my Easter challenge of being back to goal weight after the excesses of March. :)

Now I just have to deal with the excesses of Easter!!!

As I have mentioned elsewhere, a couple of good fasts seem to do the trick - let's hope that continues to be the case... Haven't weighed for over a week cos am away from home. Have managed one fast while away, and will do a couple of fasts in the first few days back home.

I really do want to get into regular 6:1, but have needed to do 5:2 cos of regular overindulging... I see that I am not the only one with this issue...
Thanks @P-JK and @Franglaise! Successful fast yesterday and feeling motivated, especially with the encouraging words from my fellow mainteneers

Well done @sassy1 - excesses behind us both! I too don't see a regular 631 routine happening for me anytime soon. I suspect I'll be doing alternate 5:2 / 6:1 for a while yet. I'm pretty happy though, that I can go off course and steer back - that hasn't happened for me in the past - any slips seemed take me permanently off course.

 :clover:
I'm another one with a tale of over-indulgence to tell! I have regained four and a half pounds but fasted today and am back on track to lose them - soon, I hope!
Thanks @Otter :)

We do seem to have similar experiences - which is reassuring!!

As I have said elsewhere, I am pretty amazed at how (relatively!) easily I was able to lose weight with this WOE, especially without having to be super strict in what I consumed. And now, excesses also seem to be fairly easily dealt with. It does seem almost too good to be true...

But as I have also said elsewhere, it has meant that I haven't re-educated myself re the overindulgence in sugary foods. So that really is my next challenge - with the goal of 6:1 (it's not that I don't like the fasts of course - fasting is generally easy now - it is that I shouldn't need to fast if I am eating more appropriately).

Best wishes to all mainteneers and those on the way :D
I was away from home for more than a week; lots of country cooking (all kinds of potatoes and desert), no exercise at all, more chocolate and wine than usual, and thus was a bit worried to get on the scales this morning... But I remained the same! I think my overall TDEE intake must have not been too bad so perhaps I am nailing this WOE.
Back on track! A week of two very strict fasts and counting calories every day to ensure I'm within TDEE and I'm so pleased to report I've weighed in under goal by 300g - hooray! I don't like calorie counting at all, but I'm putting myself through one more week of it while I 5:2 as the visit I had 1.6kg over goal was enough to give me a scare.

For me, the experience of calorie counting does provide me with a reminder of what a "portion" should look like and how quickly the odd snack or extra glass of wine adds up each day. The last time I did this was September last year and it really helped reset my eating habits on non fast days and deal with some post holiday gain. The fact I hate doing it so much should be a deterrent in the future!

Hope all my fellow maintaineers are doing well xo
