I don't have a dog, but I've just started skating again after about 6 years break, so I want to carry on with that and do some cycling and running too.

My son's 5th birthday is at the end of September, so it would be good to finally lose the last of the baby weight by then LOL.

Hahahaha! My baby is 13 and a half and I've not lost all of the baby weight  working on it though!

Definately spring here today. September is going to be a great month, not so much for fasting, but for my 12 day Vietnam river cruise in a couple of weeks. Cant wait!!

Sounds an amazing trip!
I'm back from walking my nonexistent dog to the beach and back. I really pushed myself coming back up the track and my thigh muscles are now like jelly. Shows I need to do it more often!
Tick, Day One exercise done! Now, where's the cake? Oh. It's a fast day. Huh.
Spectacular september !

Well done Golarne! What's your non existent dog's name?
Lovely to see so many with goals for the month.
I would dearly love to have my dog back, but had to rehome when I moved to the sandpit. Sadly missed for companionship and the exercise.
BUT
Reacquainted with madmax - it hurt ! 20 minutes /3.5 km with 2 'sprints' of 2 mins and 1.5 mins.
I am going to suffer tomorrow.
So two more sessions of something this week and then....
Well, I'll see :)

Hi all

Think I need a bit more oomph in September (yes I like Spectacular September, Sue). I had initially hoped to be on maintenance by now but I still want to shift another 5-7lb so, given my current rate it will be Christmas! I am going to be more vigilant with things like snacking and booze, and eat more things like oily fish (cos I really don't think I eat enough), veg and beans/pulses and less meat, cheese, bread and cakey things (booo...). I did say 'less' though, and not 'none' - this is not a deprivation diet! I just need to work out a happy balance for me and make sure that what I eat most of, is stuff that is full of goodness.

And I would like to start an exercise class before the end of September - maybe a zumba class (done it before) or something mad like circuits/body attack.

Here's to 'New Start September' - hope all you down under enjoy your spring weather - I'm actually looking forward to autumn!

No dog here either unfortunately, but I've done my second hiit session of the week today. I haven't done it in a few months and it was tough. I plan on doing it three times a week again. I've incorporated it into my daily fitbit goals and it seems to fit in quite nicely :)

Does anyone else do hiit?

Hmmm.... well I lost 13lbs in July, 9lbs in August. My target weight is now only 8lbs away.... Can I really make it a Spectacular September by hitting target??? You bet your blurry heck I'm gonna try!!!!

Yes I'm in for spectacular september. Have been unwell after a very very nasty virus that put me in hospital for a few days back in June. I am finally feeling "normal" so am itching to get back to 5:2 I have tried fasting over the weeks but couldn't get into the swing of it again. Usually fast Mondays and Thursdays but was OH birthday yesterday so am fasting today. I need all the help I can get to fire up my motivation again.
This IS going to be a spectacular september and we are all on our way to some fab new summer clothes!!

Thanks, I'm in the same boat lastpush. I reached the target and then gained some back again. My aim this month is to get back to target and to stay there.

Pamie your virus sounds awful. I'm glad you're feeling better now. Good luck on restarting 5:2 :)

Coming to join you all. August was about holidays, so I was happy to have lost anything at all, and not register a gain. Boys back at school tomorrow and I'm ready to get back to a steady work routine and a good weight loss again. I really must do something about the exercise though...
