Have had 2 days of socialising over the weekend so more alcohol than usual and a bit more eating but I don't feel enough to have done that so hopefully some of it is fluid. Are we allowed to change our Christmas target - not sure mine is acheivable now :frown:

Yes you may change your goal at this time. indeed right up until the last week if need be. This is a place for achievement and attainable goals and sometimes at the start we are not sure exactly what goal should be placed on ourselves. Some i guess have made relatively "harder goals" than others.

Yes, its all good, you may change things. I find if ive had a few days of extra eating or socialising and drinking its just a matter of being particularly strict for say 10 days on both fast and feast days. sticking closely to TDEE and .25xTDEE and even weighing and measuring. Harder for sure but you reap the reward.

Signing off for now. Happy 5 2ing lovely Christmas clubbers!

You lucky thing being so close to all those cultural and eatng havens. i am so far away from it bieng down under - sometimes i feel ive been whipped away one day and taken by aliens or soemthing. (maybe i need to be nearer my "roots" - and in Basil Fawlty style "dont mention the war")

I am very disappointed as I fasted twice whilst away & 16:8ed on every other day. I suppose it must have been the more than usual glasses of wine :frown: Oh well back on the bandwagon but realistically I don't think that I will lose a stone before Christmas.

per my response to another tent member, its ok to adjust your goals if you need to.

and 10 days of "good eating" within strict 5:2 guidelines

I would like to send you hug and a virtual bottle of champagne to enjoy on your next non fast day (sorry I can't find the smilie fizzy bottle icon).

Why thank you Coffeetime.

I oftent have like 3 simultaneous browser windows open so i can read and post comments or update the stats. Not sure how i started all of this but its fun. Im enjoying the hug and the virtual bottle of sparkly. or i will after Christmas as im on a no-drinking phase for another month. apart from any parties (no invites yet )

Hi! #98 Checking in.

I'm down to 69.5! finally! I feel so happy, I haven't been this light in what feels like forever.
My goal was anything below 70, my next goal is 66.3 so that my BMI is green at last, 3.2kgs more to go.

Have a nice week!
Still hovering... I dig pig out a bit over the weekend. Lesson to be learnt? = might do a Friday and Sunday 16:8 in addition to Mon / Wed 5:2.
Hi Julie

just a quick check in for me, not weighed myself since last month, so I guess I am cheating hehe, so still 9st5 for me and here's hoping to loose that 5 lbs by xmas!!! :-)
i'll join the others in thanking you for this lovely thread, cheers me up on this rainy windy grey Monday grrrr
;-) xxx
This looks good! Up for this. How do I join?
Don't beat yourself up about 14 oz @Isis. That's equal to a couple of cups of tea - it could disappear again the next time you visit the bathroom x
Member 129 reporting. One day before the official measurement on my only remaining fast day of the week the scale indicates 62 kg. In order to prevent losing another 0.5 tomorrow I decided to skip fasting for this week, since I do not want to lose any more. I don't want to be blown off my bicyle with the next November storm  And seriously: I don't think I would be able to eat an extra 15000 calories on Xmas  Next strategy will be something like 13:1 :?:
Member #124 reporting for duty!

Now that I've broken my magic number, I seem to be losing nicely - I'm down another 400g to make it a tantalising 61.1kg.

I may be cheating ever so slightly by weighing after a fast day but I'm weighing every two days and the trajectory is definitely heading in the right direction!

Well done! i think weighing after a fast day is perfectly fine. I love the lower number it shows always.
Another glacial 200g for me, the rate I'm going I may reach my goal by Xmas 2014!!!
Well done to all who have lost heaps!
Number 131 here! My goal is to get down to 135 (so lose 5 pounds between now and Dec. 25). That's about .8/lb, which is what I've been managing so far.
