Wow, jacquiann - you've lost a lot of weight. Interesting that you started out weighing alot but this petered out.

I think I'm partly weighing a lot as this WOE is so new, I don't know what's going to happen next, so I'm tracking it closely.

But hope this gives way to less weighing and more just getting on with other things! :)

Caroline, sounds like many of us over-indulged this weekend! :)

Great results Jaquiann! I hope you have entered them on the progress tracker? We are desperate for some long term stats to give encouragement for all the newbies!

Guilty as well of daily weighing! My official day is Monday and my aim is to only weigh on this day. Weight flucuates wildly during the week so not really a good idea.

I'm a daily weigher - I need routine, and I like monitoring the ups and downs. I used to find the results affected my mood all day, but I'm so used to the fluctuations now, I dont react so badly any more.

I'm on one day a week for the stats I put here and another day a week for a weight-loss challenge I'm on, plus my own records !

Glad I'm not the only one who weighs daily! I even feel thinner if I've lost even half a pound although it is not noticable to anyone else!

I have my scales in the bathroom and weigh myself about 3x a day but I don't get perturbed by the ups and downs as that's just me and I find it fascinating. It's not the number but the direction of travel that matters. :-)

Wow! Three times a day! You don't do things by halves BBT053! :D

And I thought once a day was a lot!

I bought a bungalow so bathroom is on hand and the scales operate with a good thump from the foot, so it's quite fun. Ironically, my 6ft, 11.5 st OH is almost as bad as me, as tho he's not on the WOE, he's lost weight in sympathy.

I suppose if you go on and off the scales enough it's like a step class?

Sorry - always make silly jokes on fast days. Delirious from lack of calories ...!

I have been following the 5.2 since August and I have never weighed myself before I started or since . However , in august I was struggling to get into size 16 clothes and now I am having to buy new clothes in size 12 so I cannot express how delighted I am ! :D I was actually wary of weighing myself as in previous years i used to be quite obsessed with my weight and constantly checking it experiencing major disappointment if the scales didn't, reflect my hard work . I suppose I will weigh myself at some point but presently just happy to carry on as I am as this regime is definitely working as my clothes shopping bill shows ! Nancy

I've only been doing 5:2 for two weeks and am trying not to weigh myself every day but its hard not to! I've only lost 1.5lbs which goes down when I'm not on a fast day. Before I started this I never thought about food much but now its all I think about - not healthy I'm sure!! I'm hoping that as time goes on my compulsion to jump on the scales every morning will diminish. I hope so cos its disheartening if nothing else and not good for my OCD tendencies :(

I'm terrible for weighing self every morning - but just have true weigh-in/record every week. Second week's weigh-in will b Thursday am.

Hi,

Yep I've put myself on the tracker. I'm on steroids at the moment so my weight may not move for a while (thats my excuse lol)

Nope, I don't have scales at home only at work. I know from experience that more than weekly weigh ins can turn you into a fanatic and if heaven forbid something in your life crops up and you are not able to fast it can seem like the end of the world.
