Do you have a sneaky weigh?
03 Feb 2013, 20:52
Yes, we know we shouldn't do it.
Once a week is enough, we're told.
But how many of us have a sneaky step on the scales in the mornings, even if we don't actually record what we weigh?

I do ;)

Guilty, I have a sneaky weigh every morning only record it once a week though!

Yeah, have to admit that I weigh every morning. Want to try and find out when I gain and when I lose during the week.

When doing 5:2 I would 'offically' weight myself Saturday but would tend to do an 'unofficial' one friday and use that if for some reason the Saturday reading was considerably higher. Now doing 4:3 and just doing the Saturday as it would get too confusing in terms of matching weights to where I am in my cycle of fast days.

I have done so more as I've gone on, I aimed to weigh in once a month but a cheeky weigh in couldn't hurt could it? It did, I've varied from just over 12 stone to nearer 12 and a half earlier this week, so from now on I am going to really try and resist.

I'm off and on like a yo-yo!

Bad habit! Where does it get you really?

Should we take a pledge to try and stop, in between scheduled weigh ins?

I'd like some group support on this and no cheating! Fun? :)

I weigh in every morning, it's just part of my routine. I sometimes weigh myself during the day too, I find it interesting to see the fluctuations during the course of the day.

I've succumbed to a sneaky weigh in today. I weigh monthly as I'm a slow loser and don't want to get demotivated. Weighed in yesterday, and , for the first time, weighed on a. Non weighing day. I fasted yesterday and was just curious to see what had happened. It was quite encouraging BUT I'm not intending to get into the habit. I'm with you Fast Jo.

I am like you Fast Jo, just cannot resist a quick jump on the scales before I shower. So I pledge to only weigh in once a week (I couldn't possibly make it once a month). My fasting days are Monday and Thursday and as much as I would like to jump on them this morning, I will try to resist and make my official weigh in day a Tuesday. Watch this space. :)

Yep I have been sneakily weighing myself and am going to stop doing it...I promise! I'm going to just do it on a Monday morning and leave it at that.

But...I also have a sneaky 'measure up' with my tape measure more than once a week...much more...anyone else?!

Showered and no jumping on scales...honest ;)

Pumpkin - I never measure my waist infact did it for the first time for my 5:2 stats, worryingly large, frightened me, need to wait a few months before I do that again....:)

I've just started working so I fast on the weekend. I get weighed on Friday and again Monday morning. On other diets I weighed in everyday and then was moody if I had gained weight. did that at first with this diet, but been doing the fasting now since August started day after tv programme I've lost 3 stone and have cut back on many things including the weigh in I'm nearly weaned off now want to get down to once a week then maybe one a fortnight taking it day by day. I'm a scale addict on the wagon (well nearly on)
