Hi Tip - came on to catch up with you again! And hello laska, bread and wine, french fancy and all my old friends!
Are we missing something here? Has another place tipped out lots of members for some reason? I feel like a stranger!
No cliques allowed here!
Laska-the Recipe card thing....hilarious ! At one point only dogs could hear me laugh !
Now come on you lot, let us all in on your jokes...we could all do with a good laugh I'm sure!
The link from Laska to the highly amusing recipe card thing :-

Very, very funny.Didn't get the Pombear reference though, so can't help with that one Caroline (thanks for all of your posts by the way, really interesting and helpful) !
Thanks breadamdwine,. This is my first forum and I have been trying to find out just such information. I still can't work out what the little logos mean on the forum pages by every name. They differ and some move! And why a blue spot by some names? I am not usually a dimbo on computers having been working with them since the seventies. My interest is digital art and I get on well with Flickr. So any tips welcomed. Took your lead and put my site for sig. Done three days fasting so far. BTW I want to get back to bread making, have a bread maker but its up in the loft! :D
not a clique. nor people who have been chucked out of anywhere . some of us heard about this board and thought we'd join. so yes just some people who know each other arriving at the same time and saying hello to each other on their first posts here .. isnt that allowed?

probably wont be back now ..
I started this thread.
Look my name up (sometimes with a 2 on the end) on Google.
I use the same name everywhere I go
and yes, there are some people here who post on other forums I frequent.
shock horror.
I discuss 5:2 all over the place

and I'm a wonderful person so my friends from the forum I just got evicted came to say hello. 8-)
Oh no, Laska, don't take offence! Rather, post more of those hilarious links. I really love the weight watchers cards. Particularly the jellied salads that look like they have been made with worms...yuk.

Tell me about the pom bears please...
The pombear reference comes from this thread on Mumsnet:

Prepare to lose a couple of hours as is long - but hilarious.

TIP and Laska (and girrafes and Breadandwine and others) have been long time posters on the Mumsnet 5:2 thread. they have helped many a newbie get started and given advice to others who have been struggling. They are a great resource between them; Ignore TIPs advice at your peril!
Thanks for the link...going to check it out now.

Just finished reading the pom bear thread (  ). I loved all 29 pages of it and there was a lot of tittering, giggling and snorting throughout my read.

I would love to think that this forum could aspire to, one day, create a thread so awesome that it engenders a new emoticon! But we are mere infants compared with mumsnet.
