Wotcha TIP so what's goss on MN news? .. I've not managed one single fast since last Thursday..(but was away the weekend) tried today , but was feeling a bit down about the non-job and disappointed in myself , so have ended up on the wine.. Ah well....but I've given myself a good talking to now.. and soonwards and upwards!
BTW you cheeky woman! its our only dual carrigeway.. we have to talk it up!!
Laska

Mumsnet are still trying to find a way to justify banning me for not realising I was banned ....
It took them two years to spot the account after all!

Now then, get back into the fasting. Nice big bowls of soup and NO WINE till Friday.

I worked on the Island for several months - getting up to 50 mph going past the Koan was the highlight of the drive into Newport ;-)
You'll get a decent job. It'll be fine.
ah yes Laska I'll have to agree with TIP- no more wine til the weekend! Nothing makes me want to snack more. You'll end up face-first in a tiramisu before you know it (forget who said that, but was a good one...)

A "failed" fast day is nothing in the scheme of things. You've done so well. Just re-focus and come towards the light. :) I say this as someone who just spent a week having eating and lying around on a beach as her main activities.

TIP I really don't understand their problem? Did something happen to bring you back on their radar? Why would they drag something up after 2 years? You were hardly in hiding, using the same name just with a number after it. :D

What a great mental image that conjures up!
Are you ready to laugh .....

I emailed them in January having yet again tried to reactivate the original account - it being my normal name.
I asked them to either delete it so I could name change or reactivate it so I could use it.
THAT is how they connected the two - nothing in their crappy systems.

So now they are having to justify their own cack handedness by saying I was banned.
But they want to reserve the right to ban people without telling them what, when, where or why. This from the site that goes offline several times a day, every day .....

I've nearly finished writing up my experiences.
Just debating which newspaper to send it to so as to cause them the most humiliation
Don't send it in. Send it to us old timers to read and come back to MN. Also. We miss you there!
Not yet, but I've found the threads I wanted ....

spot the name changes part way through!

And yet it took MN two years to notice that TiP2 was regularly recommending the me page - and was perfectly open about being TiP

It would be interesting to know what MNHQ 'say' their policy is about notifying banned posters.

PS - its nothing personal about this site, but 5:2 was only one of many topics I posted about on MN, freelancers has a crying need for when Anchovy is busy.
Just been doing a bit of sneaky lurking .....

Fruit Juice - SO MUCH SUGAR. Vegetable juice would be better .... but I love it :-)

10% of bodyweight : easy where that comes from - its one of the reward stages in Weightwatchers - zero scientific basis

so good to see so many people at maintenance : staying at a healthy weight from now on.
HI TIP , we felt your presence .. we'er a;ll still hoping you'll be back sometime..
the 10% I think is the set point theory stuff..
I found a paper on pubmed saying that plateaus occur at around 10% of body weight lost. I posted a report on the paper in nerdy stuff.
I've been allowed back into the other place ...
I'll be there mostly
but as is my wont, can be found here, ebay, mse, UKBF, you name it : if you see this name its me

I'll keep posting here though because its a really important issue

Ooh, that's interesting. I'm working up to swimming in the sea at some point.
I used to swim in the sea, but my Raynauds is such that my hands turn yellow, then purple and then take over an hour to become usable again.
Salt water is the best for swimming in.
Friends swim year round in the sea - mad buggers :-)
There was a very active sea swimming group in Edinburgh but the dire state of the water put me off. Water is nicer here but it's currently freezing. :)
We meet again Laska!
Have only just found this forum through the official 5:2 site so am still finding my way round. I have cancelled my subscription to WW and have vowed to never buy any diet food again. It is real food all the way for me. I am doing this mainly for the health benefits but do want to lose a bit more weight too. I am having a fast day today as couldn't do my usual Thursday this week. I am now able to start it without fear and love the fact that tomorrow I can eat normally again. I am slowly with drawing from weight watchers and once the latest challenge is finished will announce my departure.
I have rediscovered the joy of eating out without guilt. This regime just feels right.
