Re: BEAN'S FILM AND TV!

I like Grimm. The Revenge programme you are talking about is that the one with about the lady who's father was accused of terorist acts by a family and she is revenging him. If so I love that too. Call the midwife had a personnel connection to me as my maternal grandmother lived in Poplar in the 50's and gave birth there.
Did any of you watch Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South. Well worth a watch if you like period drama.

Ooh some good mentions there! Sadly, @Candicemarie I DO remember Rich Man Poor Man. I seem to remember liking the guy with the moustache (had a thing about beards and facial follicles in those days  ) Brookside was a good one too. We used to watch the omnibus version EVERY SATURDAY!

Yes, Call the Midwife is good, too isn't it. Must be even more enjoyable with your Poplar connections @Brand-ie.

Ooh now, I need to ask about The Wire. Is it as good as everyone says? My sister absolutely LOVED it and she doesn't watch much tv, in fact once they moved to Canada she hasn't even set up the tv (poor boys :( ). She claims it's the best drama ever. I felt like that with Breaking Bad and it took me a long time before I could enjoy anything else...the acting was just so good and the characters likeable (except towards the end!!)

Does anyone remember "Kidnapped"? That must have bean in the seventies I think. I just remember the haunting soundtrack and recently found it in iTunes!

Enjoyed MasterChef last night, despite having an empty stomach at the time :( such grit and determination, eh?!

All I can say is, watch The Wire - give the story the time to develop and you wont be disappointed. Its not your average cop series. I'm hooked - we watch at least one episode each night and we're still only on Season Two. Managed to get in two episodes last night - bliss!

Ooh ooh I just reminded myself of Midnight Caller. Did anyone see that? Every week the DJ would end with..."Good Night America...wherever you are!" Grreat. Oh now what was the actor's name? Gary Cole, hoorah remembered!

Just watched the first episodes of Breaking Bad and it was hilarious. Just the sight of him in his old man underwear..hehehe.

Apart from Revenge (which still hasn't shown SE3E14 here yet) I did like Navy CIS, but as with many series - they still haven't started (at least not on the time I'm used to) to show modern episodes, just re-runs.

I do enjoy Antiques Roadshow every now and then, especially the American ;) Also like master Chef of all sorts and nationality....

But apart from this I don't watch much TV, on the TV nor the computer. It has to have a catch if it's going to be able to grab my attention.
