Last night, I watched The Butler. Currently being screened on Sky Box Office or on-demand. Fabulous cast starring Forrest Whittaker as the Butler in the White House who served 5 Presidents. Based on a true story . Oprah plays his wife fabulously well.

What are the prices of going to the cinema in the Uk and Us etc. Horribly expensive here. $45.00 for 2 tickets plus $2.50 for booking online. 2 choc top icecreams (a must when at the movies) plus one bottle of water $14.00. $5.00 parking. To top it off, the toilets were filthy as was the cinema.
When designing our new house hubby really wanted a theatre room, we already have the speakers and amps (collected over the years by hifi mad hubby). Have installed the screen so just need the projector. After today's visit to the cinema I think it will be worth it.

Is it worth watching @Rawkaren? I see its on my Apple Tv but I have to pay £4.49.

Winey? You are living the dream! I've always wanted to design my own house and include a home cinema. How exciting for you! You won't have to worry about people talking, going in and out, mobile phones, munching, popcorn! Oh no, you've gotta keep the popcorn  And yes, it'll definitely be a saving for your xx

Thanks for that Candy. Brings back memories seeing his fizzogg!

I nearly alway go to Silver Screen showings...over sixties get in for £4.50 and get a cup of tea and biscuits!
Good value tho its a sea of white heads...
I wd never buy anything in a cinema, its too expensive..i get sweets, drinks, popcorn, whatever, at the cheapo shop just down the road from the cinema!
