Oh me too @wildmissus!I'm not a veggie but thanks to the recipe ideas on here I'm far more adventurous in what I cook and eat and have also amassed a large collection of recipe books! Bought two more today in a charity shop.

Sorry tweeps, today's the day when we have decided to install the new router and we can't get it to work, so I'm on 3G and can't stay for long.
Nice to see you all on Twitter and look forward to catching up with you .

Safe flight tomorrow @rawkaren in case I can't get online again easily. Look forward to your updates!

I too am trawling charity shops for cookery books, fatdog has taught us well!
Recently acquired 'The Everyday Wheat-free & Gluten-free cookbook' by Michelle Berriedale-Johnson for £2. Very well written with serving break-downs of Kcals, protein, fat etc per recipe.

We gave up and put the old router back on line. It hasn't put a foot wrong since then and the new one lies idle in its box!!

How come when it doesn't matter which socks I wear today (jeans and boots day) the first three pairs were "wrong"?

Lol
How can they be wrong Annie?

Well @carieoates the first three were socks I have jeans or trousers to wear with (sad or what) they were striped or bright and I figured I might want to wear them before the next laundry wash - not too good at quick hand washes, rather do a full machine wash.

We all know what we like....that's as good enough a reason as you need.

Looks like a nice couple of nice clothes shops as well .... could be very dangerous and expensive for me !

Hoping to try on some NYDJ out of curiosity !

.4lb off final goal this morning ;)

NYDJ are excellent - got mine off my MUM! Yes you read that right - my MUM !!!!!
As she got too small for them   and passed them on to me ... they are marginally too short for me, but if I wear them with the RED BOOTS (see silverdarling/rawkaren thread  they are ok :victory:

Well I have officially joined the NJDJ club :) Ended up with bootcut, size 6 (UK10). Will take a bit to adjust to a fixed waist band although it does have stretch. Having worn elasticated waists for 2 decades

Tried the UK 12 on but the sales lady said, they have stretch and they will stretch a bit wearing them, so moved down a size. A shock, as I look tiny ! They need taking up so I won't receive them for a week (wasn't local), but they are long to start with. Tried several different shapes of the range, but settled on bootcut.

Not the cheapest around, but they are a very different cut but they suited me and its my first pair of proper jeans since 1990  Not worn them since.....

It has been a VERY expensive day, but will start another thread at some point  Hopefully get some pics up

 Well done @Minigill Size 10 is so tiny!!!!
And with a fixed waistband even more so love the style of
bootcut sit very neatly around the ankle with boots or sandals of course I'm nowhere near fixed waistband on anything but no complaints I'm moving in the right
direction again now.
Great shopping day for you bet you can't wait to get them back again what a great feeling you must have.

@Minigill -yes but you're worth it    especially if you haven't bought a decent pair for over 20 years! And the waistband is very easy to wear - you should get a belt as well, as it might give too much ...

I've never been out of jeans, even at size 26, I still managed to squeeze the flab around enough to do up the waistband of a size 24. Now I'm wearing size 20's with stretch in them, but the waists are too small, its my thighs that are causing problems. I need for my thighs to shrink, but they won't whilst I'm still carrying around so much weight. When I walk now the thighs seem to cause the jeans to creep down my legs, so belts are obligatory.

Catch up time, good and bad.
Today or should I say yesterday I spent most of the day at my daughters with my two sons painting her place ready for her to move out, as she figures that £30.00 spent on paint is a small price to pay for the return of her deposit. She managed to get the paint colour wrong, but the new colour, a light primrose works really well in her basement flat. I think I had a decent workout there, lots of stretching and bending, but it wasn't anywhere nearly as strenuous as it would have been 12 months ago.

Straight from Jades, we went out for my eldest sons birthday meal, this is where the bad happened. As I was getting out of the car my right leg forgot to work (part of the ongoing neck problem) and I face palmed the pavement, hard. I only just missed a brick wall and concrete step with my head by an inch either way. I have gravel rash in my hands, wrenched my wrists, bruising up my forearms plus cuts and bruised knee's (through my jeans!) and left thigh. I have also wrenched my left shoulder too, going by the extra aches I have right now. I lay for a minute to catch my breathe and then stood up with help, plastered a smile on my face and carried on. Its a good job the kids couldn't see my jeans under the table, I didn't realise till I got home that my jeans were stuck to me with blood.
I did have a good time, it was so lovely to just sit and chat with the kids (and hubby). I think I overdid the wine a bit, 2 large and one normal glass later, once I got home, I was falling asleep on the sofa at 9pm. So I was sent to bed. Just to be awkward I then woke up at 2am and haven't been able to get back to sleep since. I put up with hubby jerking and jumping in his sleep for 3 hours and came down here to catch up on the news.

I really hope I get my surgery soon, my leg behaving like that on top of the hand clumsiness I am having is causing problems. I have smashed 3 glasses, 2 dishes and a side plate in the last fortnight alone. Its a wonder I haven't had an accident cooking yet. I am O.K. just a bit sore and a little bit more worried than I was before.

Hi @Julieathome sounds like a bad do  Is it worth mentioning these latest developments to your specialist? Might hurry things up?

Oh no julieathome, sounds like a disaster of a trip out. Hope your leg isn't too bad.

@Silverdarling I'm at the stage now where I would have to completely lose the use of , strength in or feeling in a limb, for an extended amount of time for there to be a hurry up as I am actually fairly close to having the surgery, in NHS terms that is. But I will mention it to my doctor, who can then talk to the specialist if he thinks it will help.
