I've been logged out of tablet and laptop, but obviously back here now (via laptop). Busby day today, wielding the steam cleaner in the kitchen. It's a regular thing, but always a pain to do.

@CandiceMarie Glad you're ok and I understand exactly what you mean as the house next to mine burned yesterday because of a lightning

I don't know what the weather situation is in the U.K. and elsewhere but here we have long, regular and very violent thunderstorms since Sunday night. We also had 2 cm hailstones last night and I can tell you that, for the 10 minutes that they fell, we really didn't feel safe. That and the lightning that went non stop for hours, literally, and was often just above my house..... Glad that it all calmed down, for now anyway as other thunderstorms are planned for today

Hello @manderley how are you?
Yes, poor animals just hate thunder. We had one bad storm here on Saturday morning, but otherwise, we have been fortunate to miss them.

@PennyForthem Pretty busy, obviously, as I only have time to lurk and not so much to write, but I am fine, thank you.

The situation with my mother is better, even if she still spends most of her time in bed. Now she can get up on her own and walk a bit, I even wash her hair last week and it went really well. She understands now that she is her worst enemy. Well, her fear to get hurt is. Last week was my parents 50th wedding anniversary and it went well as well. Plus, the idea to have a new dog in September really is growing, even if I don't think that to have the same breed is such a good idea.

What else..... Oh yes, I put a few pounds back on and I am not in the underweight range any more, even if I am just at the limit  and OH is still the greatest man alive

Wow Manderley please stay safe!! So glad your other news is positive x

Sunny here with a light breeze *keeps straight face like what proper weather peeps do*
Just wondering where my ladybirds are, insects definitely down and birds up in my little garden. Oh. Yes. I see a correlation there ...

I've been armchair shopping once again more bras and trousers plus as I've been looking at a coat I really liked and thought if and when I lose more weight another coat that will be far to big for me talking myself out of the purchase but kept looking and guess what it went down to half price so I've ordered it can't wait to try it on blimey I really hope it fits me.
