Hallo summer/winter peeps, I'm really enjoying Wimbledon this year, many upsets and bright young things doing well. Anyone for tennis?

Nope, no tennis here. I had my fill of tennis as a wee nipper, my mother watched it constantly through the summer. We never did anything when Wimbledon was on.

I have had my daughter home from Australia for 3 weeks and a holiday in France for 1 1/2 weeks too much food and drink not enough wifi so it will be nice to catch up. I usually follow avidly Wimbledon and the World Cup and have not had time to watch either of them so I will have to knuckle under and glue myself to the telly for the next week, oh except I can't, we are off down to Glasgow on Sunday to baby sit a 7year old and a 4 year old for a week, anyone for Lego and dolls houses, not to mention science centres, wild life parks and sea life. I'm looking forward to it all.

We have a poorly dog. Yes. They seem to follow a sickness rota.
This time it's the puppy, who was spayed last week, but that's unconnected with this current problem.
Yesterday, she developed a limp. Today, she can't put her foot down. Vet says it's likely to be a congenital condition that affects springers' elbows. She's had injections today. If she's better tomorrow, we go away. If not, it's Xrays and an op. Poor puppy.

Bad punctuation/ poor grammar/spelling mistakes always baffle me when i see examples of them on signs..surely signwriters should get it right,and surely the peep paying for their services want their signs looking totally professional?
Have lost count of the times i've see " confectionary " for confectionery
and " stationary" for stationery...and endless times have seen " Lad' s and Dad's" ...at the barbers.

I have just wolfed a Butterbean and chorizo pate, with mint and onion. Yum! 180 cals, 16g carbs and 6g fibre. Think I might post this on the Low carb tent, too.

I won't stay long today as I need to keep my computer as safe as possible. It shut down 2 times already this morning and I can feel how hot the keyboard is so will let it cool down for a few hours

Oh and, as I am cleaning my freezer for next week big grocery shopping day, I will have to sacrifice myself and eat the caramel biscuit & cream speculoos from Häagen Dazs. Life is tough sometimes
