Or is this a case of "Nostalgia ain't what it used to be " ???

Perhaps it's not what it used to be, I shall let my iPad sort it out because I no longer care, actually I do care but I seem to be in the minority

Can we have the Stadia/stadiums and premia/premiums debate now @Silverdarling!
@Goldilox, if nostalgia aint what it used to be then it must be time to get some new clichés around here.

Edited this 5 times to correct my grammatical and spelling errors!!

radius/radii too please
I know brown bread ice cream as brown Betty ice cream
A smartie on top of an Empire biscuit is so wrong! It should be a jelly diamond, or, at a push, a jelly tot. Purist that I am.
Please don't bring back Latin. I got it so wrong in the exams, that the parts that had marks attached to them were all wrong, as well as the rest of it. Fortunately, I didn't get awarded negative marks

Bacteria/bacterium! It really annoys me to hear for example ".... the infection was caused by a bacteria...." but then there are many examples of this singular/plural error and some basic mistakes with language are becoming common usage. Newsreaders who are right in the public eye regularly offend! I must stop writing any more while I am sat at my computer!

Thoroughly agree with you. Have we had medium/media yet?
@candicemarie, I should take a trip to JL soon, to partake of a roll and soup with you!

Morning everyone

Watched a wonderful documentary last night with OH about 2 British climbers and their disastrous journey in Siula Grande in 1985 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379557/ It was gut wrenching terrible and wonderful at the same time, my jaw dropped for the most part of it but I would recommend it to everyone and now I understand more OH's world (he's a climber too)

Oh and I have a cheese craving, what do you think that means ?

I think it means you love cheese!!

Saw the final episode of Fargo yesterday. What a brilliant series that was. Watched Fargo the film the night before and was surprised to discover that I actually prefer the series now!

Thanks @Julieathome, the cheese sounds yummy and now I want to eat a lamb burger!
Just spent hours making a yummy chicken roast dinner for hubbies return fro 3 days in Melbourne which marks the start of our family holidays. Really happy with the gravy. Made from chicken fat and its juices, parsley butter and cream. I can happily avoid bread/carbs if I get to cook with all these rich tasty fats. Yum!

More grammatical gripes :
I get angry when they say things like , " the majority of the water went down the sink " instead of " most of the water " , or " the majority of the country will be warm and sunny "
( not Scotland , of course !!!!) when it should be "most of the country" . . . . .
Don't get me started !

I have just wolfed a Butterbean and chorizo pate, with mint and onion. Yum! 180 cals, 16g carbs and 6g fibre. Think I might post this on the Low carb tent, too.

Whoo Hoo, my bandsaw tires have arrived. Off to my shed to start swearing at them as I fit them. I reckon 3 hours of swearing and at least six cut or bruised knuckles followed by an hour of setiing up and calibrating the machine should do. Or should I Procrastinate and get dinner prepared first?

Still on my bad Grammar soapbox : this time it's the misuse of the apostrophe .

I recently saw this sign outside a  wee cafe on the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond :

"Tea's and Coffee's , hot meals and snacks sold here " . ( so why didn't meals and snacks merit an apostrophe too ? )

Ok , grumble over . I'm off to France on holiday - yippee! ( just about to pack my light- weight jean's . . . . . . . )
