Julieathome wrote: I don't know who mentioned it, but there was a thread going on about glasses and contact lenses and someone mentioned that they have one lense in one eye for distance work and no lens in the other eye for close work and that the brain sorts it out. Well I still have some daily disposables of the correct prescription so decided to try it out. Its working, my reading seems to have a bit of ghosting to it and I have to move my head a bit more to see to the left long distance (corrective lens in the right eye), but I can see this working for me. Yay! I can go back to wearing contacts. Or I can just go out and buy a cheap pair of +2.00 reading glasses and wear lenses in both eyes.
Now thats weird, I don't feel like a nap now, I have been online for quite a while). I will just put my scruffs on and get out in the garden. Catch you all later.
Hello @julieathome I'm the contacts virgin
I'm doing very well, actually ripped one last week and had to order in a new one. But I'm wearing my varifocals so all day long now, left for near, right for distance.
So nice to see you being your old self, busy, planing and busy once more.
Hope the recovery continues in Ernest.
Hi Everybody
We are heading out to a Good Friday Seafood bbq lunch today - a gathering with a large group of friends.
We will be sharing lots of delicious seafood, and I have made a White Chocolate Cheesecake and a Smoked Cod Mornay with Mash Bake.
Have a Happy Easter my dear lovely friends.
cheers,
Maggie

Oh lucky you Maggiee, enjoy!!!
That sounds fun. Its chilling down here again. I am hoping for rain but no frost as I have a pile of delicate plants out already and don't want them killing off.
Facing four days at work over Easter, and will need this forum to keep me sane as long as there aren't too many choccy cake piccies!
Mmmmmm @Debs choocy cake...or any cake..been starving all night long. Fortunately or unfortunately,no snacks to hand....x whats a poor old Moomin to do.
Poor Moonmin! My hubby loved the Moonmins as a kid, must be his Scandinavian heritage! Want chocolate NOW.
What Debs no chocolate for Easter, and you have to work. That's so not fair
Well it's a perfect Autumn day here, warm, sunny and I've eaten 3 hot cross buns. Feeling fat and happy

@Debs Be careful with those brown carbs in chocolate we are supposed to count them also, the hot cross buns are far worse in my eyes and can easily do without them (unless I'm desperate) off food shopping soon and won't be getting any, the chock yes!!!
Have a great easterly everyone

@Debs wish I hadn't now
I'm up 300grams!!!! back on it now
Sounds wonderful @maggiee and everyone. Hopefully, hubs will be barbe-ing brunch in this wonderful sunshine (even if it is a tad chilly!). I'll take a photo later and show you where we are!
On a different note, puppy has learned how to bark. Quite funny, but also quite annoying; we need to show her when/where she can bark, but not at every sheep in the field or bird that flies by!
