Seem to remember something about juicing and fibre. Wracking my brains now, but I don't think you get the fibre benefits when juicing.

Correct PFT, cos you don't have the skin. Mmmm, a glass of red would be nice about now !

Well I'm feeling quite smug cos I tried the pulling a few times and got on quite well..........although I haven't kept it up

re the gag reflex - it wasn't funny at the time, but picture this if you can...........we were on a trekking holiday in the Himalayas, I had spent most of the first night on the toilet (fortunately we were still close enough to civilisation to have a toilet!) due to some unpasteurised cheese - the following morning I was trying to get myself in gear for the day ahead or the whole group would have been held back and was cleaning my teeth, with sonic toothbrush and unfortunately due to my delicate condition, the gag reflex kicked in and I projectile-vomited about 8 feet - I was shocked!! I was also most upset as I splattered my new walking boots!! Anyway - I survived the day just by drinking Sprite - I attempted a chip at lunch time but after chewing about 30 times and still not being able to swallow I gave up!! Happy days!!

@madcatlady poor you,that sounds a horrendous experience!
had another try of pulling this morning..lasted slightly longer than last time..didnt heave quite so much..i find it a bit disagreeable but gonna try and keep it up anyways..
feel sure nobody can keep the same bit of oil in their mouths for twenty mins tho,and i am not even gonna attempt it ...see if i can get some sparkly gnashers with just a little swish per day!! X

Good evening folks, it's been a while since I popped my head in here :smile:

I'm feeling rather fruity today :wink:

Have made two apple cakes, peach and orange ice lollies and am currently boiling up pear and lemon jam :grin:

Not fruity here, but chilli. Or looking forward to chilli anyway. Tomorrow hubby has decreed that I WILL go to the chilli festival with the two lads to get a bit of respite from him. As he is having a nasty flare up a friend of ours ( a qualified nurse/carer) is popping in to help him out with trips to the loo and making his lunch etc. It does mean that we can dash around and not be constantly worrying if hubby can get around in the wheelchair or if its too crowded for him (it get claustrophobic being so low in a dense crowd). So tomorrow I should be back with lots of different chilli recipes and samples. http://eastnorcastle.com/chilli-festiva ... -may-2014/

Today has been a day of tying off loose ends. Finishing the little bits of jobs left over, including a haircut for the youngest. So the new flatter lawn area has finally had the seed scattered, the last of this present crop of flowers is in the soil, I did some filming for the e-cig reviews with hubby, did a little bit of ebaying, shopping and well not much else. So a good day.

Sometimes all you need to do is just get something completed instead of worrying about all the jobs that still need doing.

PS. A little bit pee'd off as one of the stones in my expensive Xmas pressie from hubby (a stone encrusted heart necklace) has dropped out. We will be contacting the shop on Tuesday.

Ohhhh dear what a difference a day makes! After a sensational day yesterday,which turned into a surprise fast,making my week 4:3.. today has been dreadful :confused:
Had a lovely roast at the Toby Carvery ( Tubby Carvery) then later had choc and sweets.
This is my life these days,fast days arent too bad til evening ..once i have my tea the hunger monster wakes up roaring and starts prowling...feed days just go totally to pot.. :confused:

It is obviously different for some. On my fast days my single meal is in the evening and I feel full after. Sometimes later I feel hungry again but just do the 'I can have it tomorrow' trick and I can resist. I tend to go to bed early on fast days tomorrow begins my second week back and I accept it may not be so easy but am looking forward to it.

Just finished third fast of the week. Can't remember how long it's been since I did that. Wonder what I will weigh tomorrow? Tried a bit of a computer detox last couple of days. Got bored. Must do more with my life :curse:
