Living by the sea is ace, having a hut is brilliant. I don't resent the time spent on upkeep because a) it's a good excuse to be down on the beach and b) I'm a blooming lucky girl to have it and my seaside home!
We love out hut and I painted it very coastal style stripes a few years ago. Deep blue, lavender and pale lime against a creamy white trim. Absolutely beautiful and it got a lot of admiring comments. The trouble is, I never found the joy in accessorising and prettying up the inside I have finally figured out why, thanks to a bright and colourful crochet project I've just finished. I am not a 'traditional coastal colours' kind of girl! I do love them, but not for me. My house is a mixture of 'white and bright' downstairs - white walls, deep pink sofa, rainbow of cushions in purple, pink, turquoise and orange. Orange paint and white tiles in the kitchen. Upstairs our lounge is warm but muted tones of burnt orange, cream, French grey (actually green) as that's what suits the northern light. Bedrooms are a riot of colour!
So, I'm currently nuking the previous stripes with white before making it a Winsome style hut I can't wait to get started on bunting, curtains and shelf trims.
It DID need painting btw!

Winsome that's sound wonderful. I'd love to live by the sea.
I just got an ad on FB saying to buy your Mum a Biggest Loser Club membership for Mother's Day. What an awful present idea.

@winsome i LOVE the colours of yr beach hut and wish you werent changing them
Loved hearing about yr colour schemes in yr house too
@wineoclock yes what a soulless mums day idea
My news is, i am really getting into the coconut oil..it is a dream of a body moisturiser..goes on so well without being greasy..and of course it smells divine..and nice to know it hasnt got any nasty extras in there..
I am persevering with the pulling and finding it gets easier to do but cant do it for long. X

Candicemarie, don't you start! I'm already fed up with dog walkers and fellow hutters expressing their dismay at the change of scheme, and that's just in reaction to the white-out. Heaven help me when I start on the coloured stripes... Well it's ME painting it and I've chosen lol. Maybe I'll post a pic when it's done.
Oohh yes pics please..i DO understand that it needs to be colours youre happy with!
Bunting..you can never have enough bunting ..its such fun! X

@Wendydarling where on EARTH did you find salted caramel green tea? What's it taste like?
Yes please @Winsome do post pictures of it when you're finished! And @Wendy Darling I'd like to know about the tea too! Does it really taste of salted caramel?
So do you have sea views from your house @Winsome? Am really looking forward to seeing the finished product!
By the way, I've decided to change my fasts this week. I can't do back to back as planned (I can barely fast at the moment. As we speak, my stomach is full of shred dies ) so I'm feasting again tomorrow and then fasting Thursday and Saturday. Then I'm free on Sunday...hoorah!

Hey beanybobs @nursebean
I' m glad youre not doing back to back..
I wasnt happy about it but didnt want to seem like a saboteur..
Youve been so good with yr ADF..two normal fast days this week sounds like a plan
Sunday,is that the day you go on yr hollybobs?

No Sunday is my dad's birthday and I don't want to be a humbug by not eating out! And you're right, Ive bean quite hard on myself really. Even if I do just fast on thursday and friday, its still will have bean a 3-day fast this week, so not bad really. I'm sitting here typing this with my stomach sticking out because its full of cereal. When will I ever learn? I think its boredom sometimes, though. I'm trying not to overdo it but when I'm laying on the sofa I automatically think of food. Why is eating so pleasurable? Why do we eat even when we're not hungry? Its so weird isn't it.
Anyway, have you bean cocunutting lately?

Sorry to disappoint but I found the salted caramel green tea to be a bit of a disappointment. I will keep trying them though, there's 20 in the box!
Not too surprised by that WD - I did think that the 2 tastes were quite wide apart to go together well - never mind! - had some really nice salted toffee / caramel ice cream over the weekend - Haagen Daas I think
No, I didn't think they would go together either. You're right, save it for the real thing
Hi everybody
Oh dear, I sure could use some help/support/advice please! Either that or a kick up the backside!
I lost 5kg for the Valentine's Day challenge and now I have put it all back on!
I had to go on cortisone medication for the hives and I have been eating like I am possessed, and my doctor said it makes you 'eat through walls' - my goodness she is right!!
I finished the last tablet yesterday, and last night I was still munching away on lots of food, including a big slab of fruit cake!! I never eat like this! I want it to go away!
I tried to do a fast yesterday, but bombed as soon as I had a mandarin around 1pm, then I ate, and ate, and continued to eat until I went to sleep last night. This is very unlike me, I usually only eat between 12-8pm.
Question - how long does it take for the medication to get out of my system?
I can't go on like this, to see the scales climb back up again yesterday morning was so terrible and my clothes feel tighter and I 'feel fat' - all my good work over those several weeks has come undone.
Thank goodness I have been doing some exercise everyday as I also have plenty of energy!
Rant over,
cheers Maggie
