Will try to remember to find you one later. I stopped making them myself years ago, it's so much more easy to buy them LOL.

@Wendy DarlingJust noticed it here in Yorkshire as I was drawing the curtains. A luminous moon, as if it was lit from within.

@wolfie many years I visited Sweden and had some gorgeous biscuits, but they had a strange powdered ingredient - and I can't remember the name of it. I'm sure it had something to do with horns!!The biscuits were translated for me as 'Dreams' I think. I know this is very vague, but I was thinking of them only the other day. The ingredient turned those biscuits into something special! I daren't Google Swedish Dreams, as I think I'll get things I don't want to see!!
Gosh it's a long time ago!!

It's funny but those sort of biscuits don't do a thing for me. Says the Bean who's just eaten a whole packet of Angel Delight sprinkled with maltesers

I have felt a huge sense of relief today. Yes I have missed our old girl, but know we did the right thing.

You're right Wendy Darling.
Jess was always the 'noisy one' and had her own little low howl, especially when I walked in through the front door or when she wanted her tea. It was very quiet today. Our other dogs have looked for her too.

Pennyforthem, I know that it is difficult now but everyday will get better. (I know that is a cliche but its true). I am sitting here surrounded by pictures of previous dogs and cats we have had the pleasure of being friends to - and I must say that I have become misty eyed (again)as their passing means as much to me today as as it was in the last 12 + years ago.
Sometimes we have to make the difficult decisions for our animals but we know that you wouldn't want them to suffer or have miserable lives. (Don't get me onto the SuperVet programme last night.. I had more tears than ever.. !!)
Your other dogs will miss their 'leader' but I think you said on another thread, the next will take the lead and the others will feel your pain and want extra strokes!

True!
I have 3 springers on the sofa with me; one lying round my neck on the back of the sofa and the other 2 snuggled beside me.
