Re: CHATTERBOX CANDY!!

I have lived through EVERY Download concert there has ever been, I live less than a mile from the park and whether I want to or not, and I don't, I have no choice about hearing it and the all night parties that go with it. A lot of the villagers book holidays during the concert and the rest of us stay to deter break ins, love it all.

That said, I hope you all have a good time, honestly, I do xx

@ballerina you could always rent out the house for the duration to less hardened festival goers. Or do a holiday home swap so you go somewhere peaceful and they come to the festival.

As well as my maintaining buddy, @auriga I'm missing @nursebean. Where are you?
Re: CHATTERBOX CANDY!!

Julie, I'd rather put up with noise than rent my home out, yes we could rent to some of the big names that play here and get an obscene amount of money but would I really want to do that? NO! It's actually worse when there is racing on and before anyone asks, we did not buy a house near a race track and festival site, I'm daft but not that daft, we were here for years before the park became active and although the airport was here first there were very few flights when I moved here and absolutely NO night flights! they hadn't been invented! Grrrrr!!!! Anyway, the noise is one thing but the mess really upsets me and it costs the ratepayers in excess of £100.000 every year to clear it up. But, hey ho, such is life and yes, we also pray to the weather Gods but I bet we all pray from a different perspective   I still wish everyone a good weekend, honest!!!!

We used to camp in the family camping part of the festival as its not full of stupid noisy teenagers but it was inline with the end of the airport runway. The big DHL cargo planes that take off regularly are the loudest planes I have ever heard especially when you are in a tent! Must be noisy where you live too.? Now we go in a camper van its nice a quiet at night.
