What a busy bunny! Well done SD. I have made bread but it's proving hard to find any gluten free brown bread flour round here, don't want to buy off the web unless really necessary, but tried four supermarkets and a high class foodie emporium today.

Poor grandson tripped over his own feet today and headbutted the wall. It was all stressful, but he's OK.
Got a right shiner though.

The nurse said,How on earth did you manage to fast til this late
Cue for me to explain about us hardy Intermittent Fasters!
Ps she was a " digger" tho..some nurses gently slide the needle in,this one was digging to Australia!
Poor young student guy before me fainted, they had to send for his wife to take him home! x x x

Oh I'm a fainter too@CandiceMariewhen ever I have blood taken! I really hate needles and get myself really worked up about blood tests, thankfully very rarely necessary!
I'm not a needle aficionado either so goodness only knows how I coped with acupuncture, it sometimes made me feel quite queasy, yuk. At least it was effective but I'll never forget the day the lass lifted my foot up to make sure the needle hadn't gone the whole way through and out the other side.....mmmmmm, not good, that one!

I take it you ladies aren't blood doners then!
An ad just popped up for 'stunning tents' am sure we don't need any of those here ....
Good morning, this last day of May. This year is zipping by in a haze, I feel the need to stop the rush and try 'mindfulness of today'.
Just popping in as I missed yesterday. At least today i have managed 8 hours sleep, yesterday I only had 4.
@Azureblue have a look at this site. http://www.approvedfood.co.uk/ they generally have some gluten free stuff in, its very hit and miss, so if you see something you like and the price is right, buy lots of it at once. I have seen Dove Farm flours on here going for 80p a bag in the past. For the rest of you, its a great website for cheap food, but always have an extra page opened where you can check the comparative price with your usual supermarket. Plus don't do as hubby did once. He bought what he thought was 24 Devon custard and blackberry pots. He bought 24 cases, (6 in a case) of the same. They were stacked up and blocking the doorway for weeks.
Needles, don't bother me, they bother the nurses and anesthetists though as they are awkward to get at and generally collapse if kept in place too long (I came out of anesthetic and found puncture holes in my foot where the anesthetist had had to go in when the sleepy stuff vein collapsed. He couldn't reach any other part of me as there were too many other people around me.

Been out today and had to spend £22 on special DrScholl gel innersoles for my shoes,to try to relieve the pain of plantar fascitis.
Hmph was expecting them to be about £5.99!
The assistant in Boots said her doc recommended them to her and they really did the trick
What appealed to me is they have a 30 day money back guarantee! and supposedly last a year,so i guess that works out as good value.
i put them in and it was instant relief..so good i decided to ignore the advice to wear them only for an hour and kept them on,upon which they quite quickly became painful,so will follow instructions now and give self time to get used to them!
Will report back as i know a few people here said they are sufferers too x

I'm really missing my daughter today. She posted an up to date photo of herself as most of the dyed black hair has now grown out and she is back to her natural strawberry blonde, which is rapidly going white with the sun in Dubai. She's been gone 5 months now and I'm really missing her. I get to see her in another 9 weeks when she comes back on holiday.
In other news my sons are back on fasting as of tomorrow (Sunday), the youngest actually has a belly on him. It seems a lot like the kettle calling the pot black, but I never wanted the kids to have my weight problems, one with a weight problem is bad enough.
I just have to wean hubby off his sugar in tea and do it surreptitiously before I can get him fasting. He doesn't have much of an appetite at the best of times and I worry that he isn't getting enough nutrients. Its not helped by him drinking tea all day long with 2 spoons of sugar in each one. All those calories could be going on proper food, if he could only just stop the sugar.
I've also managed to pull something in my neck trying to get hubby's new powerchair out of the boot of the car. I'm back on full dose painkillers. If it hasn't settled down by tomorrow I will get to the out of hours doctor at the hospital. Its now put the need for a hoist or a replacement car with ramps at the top of the list though.

My pain levels are better. No meds but I am using the TENS machine. Sitting down and taking it easy may have also helped but nah! Life to short to take it easy. My new shelf is now up, I've spent and hour untangling bindweed from my clematis, mowed the lawn and I have all my daffodil bulbs drying in the sun. I'm off to the shed in a minute to start making a cupboard for all the tools to go in, tidily. Then hopefully this week I can start woodturning again. I really want to make a giant crochet hook and make a rag rug with t'shirts or torn up sheets. Just for the fun of it. I just need 2 minutes to shift some books and folders onto the wider shelf and I will be done in the house.
