And 1999 ... Horrible year for me ... On 7th Feb I went to the docs with spot and swelling on my upper lip ... 6 weeks later my whole face was covered in spots and redness ... I had 2 weeks off work and an emergency consultation with local dermatologists who put me immediately on roaccutane and steroids ... This had little effect ... Taken back to Yorkshire by parents at Easter, as they had been horrified when they saw me. Diagnosed and hospitalised on Easter Saturday, consultant at LGI was world class and an expert in my condition. Six months off work and at home with parents. Slow recovery, finally discharged in Feb 2004, five years after first affected.

Ooh Silverdarling that sounds truly awful!

I guess 2006 was a good year in that I qualified as a nurse and achieved my ambition of a degree under my belt. Very pleased (even though it hasn't lasted long...my career that is  )

Does it have to be a boy's name, only I know somebody who would like it to be called Candy! Hmm can't think who...

Bean

@Wolfie Fiona was the name of the dog we had before, a lovely name for a lovely girl  Lots of positive thoughts for her to be as strong and as healthy as possible for a long long time :clover:

I stayed with him all day because, and it will be difficult to explain in English but here, in the countryside, we have some tradition, some people can heal with magnetic hands or anyway help heal with hands, which is my case, even if I don't use it often. I used it to calm him down, because of his heart condition, he needs to be as relaxed as possible. So I put my hands on his chest and head and kind of meditate for quite some time and it seems to help him. It's really strange because it's a bit like he knows that I am here to help him

That link may explain a bit what I mean

Fiona is named after the princess in Shrek( Arwen from Lord of the Rings and Diego from Ice Age  ) and I'm happy to hear that you are able to help your boy that way. I'm a firm believer of such powers, my sis (who is an ordained priest) borough back one of her friends from the brink of death and the people in the ICU had never experienced anything like that.

More soft strokes and nose kisses over to you

I'm still here Penny! I disappeared for a while but am back and posting on the running, maintenance and fitness threads. I'm still fasting once or twice a week (twice at the moment as I want to lose 2kgs before running a half marathon in April).
Not sure what happened to @Pashcaline, though! I hope she is OK, but I'm not sure she continued with the diet as she seemed to find it quite hard.

Coucou, Sorry guys I have been poorly and still am with ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia and Vertigo. I am not allowed to do any diet from my Doctor's order. And I gained weight :(. Eating healthily though. Hope everybody are ok!!! Xxxxxxxxx
