Oh well all I can say is enjoy @Silverdarling I saw my ex work colleagues briefly today. It was lovely to see all those familiar faces but it was lovely to not be a part if the furniture. They looked very stressed poor loves. I am more than 12 months of water under the bridge since my job was cut. Wonder how you will feel as your changes are more recent

I'm only hoping that the weather will behave for her. I'm pretty sure that the weather is a man. There is NO way that such a weird behaviour is coming from a lass.
Gilly,i used to love going to / running workshops! And a vital element of them is good refreshments,so i' m glad you tucked in..there's always another fast round the corner to sort you out
Dreamy, you were missed and even a thread up asking where you were! Sorry, i got you mixed up with Danielle, our other dark haired young beauty who is also a teacher ( think you are too?)

Wow Rome ... Last there when I was on one of those buses with several other young expat travellers in 1975 eek noooooooooooooooo can be that long ago. How shocking only seemed like yesterday. Anyway @Ballerina have a lovely time.

@gillymary had a nice day, first visiting my former workplace library, and it was nice to see people after several weeks, and get all the gossip - and yes, scones and caramel slices were consumed and I came away with a coffee and buttercream cupcake - just in case I felt peckish later
I then went to a nearby garden centre, which I later discovered had just won Garden Centre of the Year (that's damn serious here in UK ) where I bought £70 worth of plants verbena bonariensis, nepetas, stachys (lambs ears), a variegated euphorbia, 2 lovely french butterfly-eared lavenders, and also patio plants for the back yard - trailing geraniums, verbenas, violas and gazanias. Most planted in the rain this afternoon, along with some monkshood in the front garden, except for the lavenders and patio plants which will go in at the weekend.

My goodness you don't muck around in the gardening department. My veg and salad and herb seedlings purchased at Sunday markets are still waiting for me to put them in the garden. I have just watered them again. Tsk tsk me, it looks like tomorrow I will be in the garden as today is fully booked.
Glad you had a nice catch up, mine was fleeting as they had an emergency teleconference so they are rearranging new meet up with food. Lots of food gets consumed at work places yours sounded yum. @Silverdarling

Well things are growing so much and so quickly atm that it's best to get them planted as quickly as possible. It's been a kind spring for plants - plenty of rain, unlike last year when we had a comparative drought, and also quite mild. Plants take off about late April and into May, it's like a switch has been pulled. I could have spent another £70 in the garden centre though, it was fab, one of the best I've been to. I was tempted by the veg and salad stuff ... Maybe I might just try a couple of things after I get back from holiday at the end of the month.

Good to know that the weather is behaving and that you're having a good time! You CAN shop for large clothes in Greece but not in the touristy areas. People here seem to think that only Greeks can get fat and visitors are no larger than medium, LOL!
Have a fab time in Rome, Ballerina! Just make sure they don't mistake you for a Fiorentina or Napoli fan, LOLOLOL...

Just stuck my head in to find out that this is where all the action is!!! Sounds like a de facto holiday tent, lucky ducks! Although, I am off in two weeks. Mustn't grumble
Aw, Sue... Cretan desserts... They are lethal, LOL!!!
Good to know that you're having a nice time, please continue to do so!
