@gillymaryAwwww bless! Everyone here is so sweet. Yes I had an absolute blast with Jamie, I always do. We just seem to laugh constantly when we're together, it's a great feeling- it's just always hard coming home and having to deal with silence and being alone. But I guess I'm thankful for fasting and the forums to keep me company  Oh yes I was very happy with my purchases

How have you been finding 4:3/ADF? I don't think I could go back to just 5:2 now, I much prefer 4:3. Hopefully I'll catch up with the rest of the group later

@daydreamer21 I did 6:1 for a while as was so sick of the plateau and thought I best re feed if my plateau was a famine effect. I was doing such a good job of refeeding that I had some creeping up of the scales. So I started back about Monday a week ago and low and behold I just fell into the routine of ADF. I like its rhythm. Scales aren't saying much yet but I don't care that much as part of my plateau was as a result of too much fasting so have to be chilled out. If I don't manage late in the day I re calibrate for eating window been mostly fast 5 but still get the prolonged fast

So I have not done 5:2 for ages, I did my first best weight loss on 5:2 but had to ramp up the fasting to keep getting results. I will probable have to maintain,on 5:2 I think.

Sammy that is lovely that you have such a nice time with your Jamie. Must be hard to part.

Jools you're moving very quickly indeed :like:
Welcome back Sammy glad you enjoyed your time with Jammie and the time in Ireland, more shopping I hear
I've decided no more shopping for now my wardrobe's are far to full once again with the sales + charity buys + handowns from my friend+ sister.
Had a spa day treat today with a friend really nice day with lunch also had a chocolate mud body scrub treatment my skin feels wonderful soft + silky.
We've decided to do a different spa day treat monthly.
Had a chocky treat tonight after smelling it all day Lol
Hope you're well gillymary and your batch cooking session went well and your ADF I also found 5:2 wasn't really enough for me to many days in between to be naughty.
Today has been a carb heavy day so I'll fast tomorrow and go low carb to try and repair today's damage hopefully.
:dog: hope Max is mending for you :dog: :dog:
Early night calling. :clover: :clover: :clover:

@Sue.Q just waiting for our mobile dog wash man to arrive. He will be informed of the antics of Max who sports a large shaved section on his upper back. Funny thing always have some adventure to relate about 'what max did!' Big tale to relate this time :dog: such a radical

Got the bug to cook yesterday again too, did a lamb tagine, am fasting today too buddy, working off the couscous. Scales this am were ok so if my fast today is a good one tomorrow ought to be pleasing numbers. One can live in hope eh? Onwards and downwards. Glad you got some chocolate in. Good fasting to you Sue

@jools7 you international jet setter you. How wonderful to see you pop up, nice to know you have the technology sorted and can stay on the forum and join in while you travel. Hope the packing works a charm. You have some space weight wise in your luggage to bring home some goodies. Happy travels and look forward to hearing how you are faring O/S.

@daydreamer21 are you all settled back into home. Do tell what did you buy clothing wise. Are you heading over to the fashionista thread. It is a lovely space

@Jo05 how are you going there, is 16:8 working? It is a wrestle this whole journey but it is worth it. Would be nice to hear how you are going. You would be on a uni break now, hope the study is going ok for you as well

 Hi buddies
@gillymary @daydreamer21@Jools7 @Jo05
Hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend not much to report myself, my midweek spaday with my friend was amazing we had a really good day of pampering and splashing plus a nice healthy lunch, we've decided to repeat on a regular basis because we're worth it. Lol
Forget to weigh-in yesterday and assume it was my carb laden meal + wine + chocolate resulting in a 600 grams gain!!! water retention is bad today again,
come on in Jo05 were only human if you're struggling then I'm with you we'll beat this **** together you + me please don't face this alone, if its just your busy life that keeping you away then I apologise and that would be good news,
Come back in number 5 we're all missing you like crazy.

First week back Sammy bet that's been so hard as you've had a long hectic break.
Gillymary I've seen you've been batch cooking again I've saved that garlic soup recipe I must try that one.
As for you Jools well I'm lost as to exactly where in the world you are right now however you must be very busy it all sounds very exciting to me.
I'm off for a short walk up town to grab a few items the walk back every little helps I suppose. :clover: :clover: :clover:

@Sue.Q aaww never mind. I know you will sort it. But I am so liking the sound of the spa treatments. Absolutely you are worth it. I also think that the chilling out factor is a great idea. For some of us here when the going gets tough we need to relax regroup and figure out what to do next or what's up. That is my modus operandi anyway.

I am doing ADF, some days of it are 5 hour windows slowly gaining back ground I had drifted from. Not sleeping well for past couple of weeks so that won't be helping.

Yeah did a cook up of soups for my fluid fasting days. Have made a soup today from beef bones in the slow cooker. Will use it on liquid fast days as well was inspired by julianna's chicken bone broth she wrote about. Been reading Marks Daily Apple as well and he is inspiring.

May as well keep enquiring and creating

Good evening @Sue.Q@gillymary@jools7and @Jo05 I hope you ladies are all keeping well. How were your weekends? Mine was rather uneventful, I decided to fast on Saturday to get my week of 4:3 in, so since Tuesday I have done alternate day- it's been really nice I enjoy it but I don't think I could sustain it. I admire you @gillymary for going the ADF route. I was happy to jump on the scales today and it showed 95.5kg, I'm pretty much where I was when I was away at Jamie's. So I guess the blip was just water weight from 'that time' and too much salt. I am definitely going to try controlling my carbs this week though and see if that will help any. I have to break my sweet-tooth habit. I decided to have a go at the new solstice challenge and I tried to make it achievable for me so I want to lose 2kg...I'm sure I'll do that but I was so hard on myself trying to lose 5kg (which I did) but it was quite stressful for me with every gain, so I'm just making small steps I think.

Hi buddies    @daydreamer21 @Jo05 @Sue.Q and our lovely jet setter :airplane:  @jools7 well I am having a breakout day. Was fasting until 12:30 and there were these rice crackers in front of me in a meeting and I needed some crunch. Crisps and sweet biscuits same same. Was out in the garden when I came home and pulled up a sweet potato vine which had gone rampant and found a few sweet potatoes, had to bake the broken ones, of course ... Oh dear very carbolicious but so very yummy.

I have been very determined with ADF so this day now very carbie 16:8 kind of a day. Figured when I got back into the real world of work after my relaxed break I might have to have a plan B. Back on track tomorrow but hey everything tasted delicious

Hi fasting buddies @gillymary@daydreamer21
our roving traveler @Jools7
And the elusive @Jo05
Hope you are all well today this grey damp Thurs here in UK
Fasting today after OH dragged me
(kicking & screening!! not) out for a pub meal, was meant to be fasting so ended up with a "good " instead, chose a Cajun chicken salad and offered to drive so one glass of red plus water, I'm off out shortly for a walk but not to long today because I've a friend calling in for coffee later, plus I've the ironing to keep me busy somewhere along the way, gillymary well done on your ADF you're going full steam ahead, Sammy I think you've mentioned you've seen the lower numbers again so back comes the motivation for you, Jools still managing an occasional walk all good news
My fasting is going OK but since giving up the sugar I seem to be craving chocolate and sweets even more than before,
so I need to try and get a hold on that one again.

@@Sue.Q arrgggg know well the chocolate monster have been enjoying some myself. Surprised myself with the ADF. Am not back on track until Sat as am having a couple of wey hey days. Even went yum cha yesterday. Sometimes the meals out are just the trick then back to the drawing board

@daydreamer21 my weekend was quiet and the next one ought to be sweet with my darling son down for a visit. Always a treat. Heading off to meet up with him at a local country market then we go to a special high tea. Early Mothers Day celebrations :) all he best with getting back to 4/3, I know you can do it, somehow with the increased fasts you get into the flow more easily

@jools7 hope your trip away continues to be fantastic. Also tricky not being able to be home for your bestie. Enjoy your journey

Waves @Jo05 hope you are going well there. Must be back to the study again best of luck :clover: :geek:

Hi to all buddies wherever you are
@gillymary@daydreamer21@Jools7 And @Jo05 :heart:
My weigh-in day after a struggle with the sugar/chock cravings a small loss of 300grams but a loss so considering the week I've had I can't truthfully complain.
Today I'm doing 20:4 as I'm out tonight for a meal at a friends house so we get to take the wines + dessert
a bottle of red a bottle of white and a naughty but extremely nice chocolate cheesecake (not my choice at alll    )
Since stopping the sugar in drinks 3weeks ago my craving for "other" sugars have got pretty bad but no way will I have one cup of tea or coffee with sugar because I know I'll go back and never beat this battle and yes bit obsessed with the numbers again providing I get the small losses I know its all with the effort I'm putting in,
Enjoy your weekend everyone I'm preparing for my upcoming holiday but will report back on that one
in a few days.

Thanks for the update, well done fasting buddie. I take my hat off to you for your determination. What is the eating plan for the holiday or are you going to have a break. I did the 2 months on 6:1 and came back onto 2 weeks of ADF. I got a good downward trend but haven't had a really good fast since Tuesday. Must fast tomorrow then,

Well done @Sue.Q

Happy Friday evening my lovelies! I hope you are all well. I have never been more grateful of it being the weekend. This week my class has been HELLISH!!!! I almost gave in on my fast today, but I stuck it out and gave myself a little treat instead. I had chicken breast with roasted veggies and then a frozen yogurt for dessert (I never have dessert on a fast day) I've probably gone over my 500 cals, but I figured it was better to go over a few cals rather than totally destroy my fast day. I also bought myself a couple of mini bottles of wine for tomorrow to reward myself for not committing mass murder this week!!! I'm glad it's a 3 day weekend, hope the weather picks up here in London and I can go for a nice long walk. I think I have lost this week, won't know until my weigh-in tomorrow, but nearly every day now people are telling me how much weight I've lost, how I'm disappearing and shrinking- so even if the scales aren't kind, I'm obviously losing inches :) @Sue.Q good luck with your sugar busting! I wish I could do that, I don't take sugar in tea or coffee but I love biccies/chocolate.
@gillymary enjoy your weekend with your son!!
Re: - ~ "fasting fivesome" ~ -

@daydreamer21 Good. Luck with tomorrow's weigh-in Sammy I'm sure you've done enough to bust through and see even lower numbers, and worry not about having a small dessert as a reward from the hectic week it sounds as if you've earned it, and I'll keep everything crossed
for tomorrow for you. :clover:
@gillymary My plans for my holiday are to do the best I can but will choose healthily and wisely namely plenty salads with fish /chicken and hopefully not to carb heavy of course it all depends on the foods available I will fill you all in regarding my days etc after the weekend and hopefully Sammy will fill in for me for the UK intingent. enjoy your time with your son and talk to you all before my departure. :clover: :clover: :clover:
