Hi I live in Lincolnshire but am a Yorkshire lass. I have lived in Devon, London and Notts. My brother lives in Webbs Creek in NSW (just west of Sydney) so have spent a lot of time there. I love Queensland and NZ. Missing my travelling.

Hi all, I'm Debbie. I was born and raised in Brattleboro, Vermont (there is only ONE Brattleboro, and it is near the center of the Universe - Putney, VT!)

I have lived in Virginia, Bemidji, and Austin, Minnesota, currently living in Winchester, Kentucky. It is hot and humid right now - my least favorite season, but at least I don't have to shovel snow much anymore!

Hi, I'm Marybeth, born and raised in Central New York, also--Geneva to be exact. I've lived in New Jersey, Texas, Oregon, and the Okanagan valley of British Columbia. OH and I became Canadian citizens while there and before we got so homesick for our family that we returned to Central New York (Ithaca to be exact) only 40 miles from where I began.

OH is a Brooklyn boy who loves upstate. Ithaca is a small city, vibrant because of the presence of Cornell University and Ithaca College. We lived in the country until retirement, sold our house and moved downtown where we can walk almost anywhere we want to go. Just recently sold our car and joined a carsharing org. Urban life here is great. Lots of local theater, great restaurants, exercise classes, people watching, etc.

We now have joint US-Canadian citizenship--I sometimes think of it as my "escape hatch" ;)

Hi, I'm Chris and I live in Wiltshire, UK (not far from Stone Henge). I was born in Kent, but moved around a lot as a child (including Northern Ireland & Germany) as my Dad was in the army. Apart from 4 years away at University, I have lived in Wiltshire for over 40 years, but my OH and I like to travel a lot.

I'm British, but have lived in Brittany in France for 11 years. I found it quite easy to do 5:2 in France as I've adopted French eating habits and therefore don't eat (or drink wine) as much as I did in the UK. I've yet to convert any French friends to 5:2 though - the thought of skipping meals is quite alien to most of them!

Hi everyone,

Fascinating read. I am Peter from the UK via India, Madras (now Chennai) for 2 years, and New Zealand now living with my wife (for the last year) in Moscow in Russia.

You can't find Robin Hood because he and his Merry Men are living with Gerard Depardieu.

No comment on Edward Snowden,
