Hi Gill

Your 'zoo' sounds like it has a lot more to see than mine! Made orange drizzle cake and lemon curd today, so that used up 6 eggs! There is now a little bit of space on the egg helter skelter (rack for holding eggs in date order), but I can hear a chicken making a racket outside so I think we have more out there!

Strangely I'm making lemon curd later today too. Eggs are definitely in the glut

I've got a Tibetan terrier who keeps me busy.

I wanted a dog for years but my husband wasn't too keen. Then I got a job where I was home based and the travelling that I used to do was cut to around 2 trips per year and there was no reason not to get one :D

He does his own form of intermittent fasting as he'll occasionally skip a couple of meals. It used to worry me but apparently is a Tibetan thing and nothing to worry about. In the wild they would have had odd days with no food anyway.

Oh my goodness, he's adorable!

That's interesting that your dog skips meals naturally. I have a golden retriever mix, and I cannot imagine her ever voluntarily skipping a meal! LOL

Hi, I have 1 black cat, 2 years old, he is a resue cat from cat protection and he is adorable. I used to have 2 cats but they both died in 2011, which is why my new little friend came to live with me. I would love a dog but work all day so I sponsor a dog at dogs trust, next best thing! :)

Awww cute dog.

My springer wouldn't miss a meal either. She is a terrible scrounger, so much so the bin has to be emptied before she is left alone otherwise she has her head in it....

I understand the view to not have a dog when working full time. I work full time but different shifts and have a rota with my 2 of my neighbours, so between us our dogs are very rarely left for over an hour! It is doggie day care for the street and it works really well. Two springers and a terrier and they all get on well together, it also means they get 3 walks a day!!!

I have a 5 year old black labrador - Jed. He is very fit and active and most people who don't know him think he is much younger than he is. We have kept his weight under control by weighing his food for every meal - if we guessed, I am sure it would have crept up, because like almost all labradors, he is a bottomless pit when it comes to food.

We have 2 springers and a rescue mut. I work from home, so no problem there.
We also have a hen house awaiting construction. And chooks.

I also have a Tibetan terrier, Darcy she is 6 this year. Used to have cavaliers but after the last one passed on I just couldn't have another one. So the search was on for a new companion. She fits the bill perfectly. Totally different in character and best of all doesn't moult.
She adores her morning walks along the beach and chasing gulls.

Just dropped Hudson, my 6 month old kitten, at the vet to have his pompoms removed!!! He had to fast from tea time last night. It really is amazing how everything comes back to food.

We have a Beagle called Peggysue, 2 cats called Boris and Lulu Pavlova (my daughter named her) 2 bearded dragons called Nanook and Apollo, 2 chooks and a couple of fish.

Most of the pets are rescues.

Lolli chooks are fab, very intelligent and pretty much eat everything except meat, potatos and anything onion related. My only dislike about them is they ruin your garden if you give them free reign but having fresh eggs every morning is great, I'd never buy shop bout ever again!

Your chooks don't eat cooked potatoes? Ours love them, and pasta and bread...carb junkies! They are not interested in green veg but I think that's because they free range so they get plenty, not because they are behaving like spoilt children!

I was told potatoes buggered their guts up :S

Haha glad ours aren't the only spolit ones!
