Was just about to ask if this appeared on 1 April!
Well I have had some good news today. Many of you know that OH was diagnosed with a form of cardiomyopathy earlier this year. Came out of the blue, the heart was severely impaired.
Today he has had an ultrasound 6 months on. At the 3 month mark (July) there had been no improvement and the conversation was heading towards mechanical options like a heart transplant  However the surgeon wanted to give the drugs a little longer. Lo and behold, there has been some improvement. It is now only moderately impaired rather than severely, but it's the best news I have had all year.
We are going to try another cardioversion when I get back to see if we can get the heart back into rhythm again. It didn't work last time but the heart was very badly damaged. Maybe next time around there could be a good chance. It's a long road, but nice to have some good news.
Soooooooo great to hear that good news @rawkaren
Feel very happy for you - you must both be so relieved! X
So glad to hear this, karen. Your own heart must feel lighter today. May he have good luck with the cardioversion. :clover: :clover:
Fantastic news @rawkaren - are you coming home for Christmas?
Really pleased to hear that things are going in the right direction for your OH

@madcatlady Thank you. Yes. I have to go back in the morning, but coming back on 12th December until middle of January. Lots of travel, but worth it I hope!
So happy for you @rawkaren Hope the good news will keep coming your way :rose:

Trying to pick up a festive soup recipe without finding any good ideas. Maybe a nice onion soup with a big chunk of toasted "pain de campagne" with cheese on top will do
Good news @rawkaren. I hope the improvement continues and the next treatment is as successful.
@rawkaren, very very pleased about the good news. Hope this improvement continues.
