Hello.... Is someone there ??????? :?:

Last night I say a Channel 4 documentary and boy oh boy you are really really naughty
The subject was, and I hope I won't shock anyone, the biggest penis in the world. Very informative but I don't think we could have these kind of documentaries in tv here or very very very late in the night and it wouldn't show images like I saw last night without making them unrecognisable....
Goodness me @manderley. You sound like you might have enjoyed it!
WHY are all the decorations up in every abode in Coronation street?
And even as i type, some of my neighbours are busy with red velvet bows and tartan hearts
Man,it's not even December yet! X
@rawkaren I wouldn't say that I enjoyed it, I had nightmares after that  , but I found it interesting and had very valid points like the one about today's expectation.....
I tried the chestnuts soup recipe you gave me the other day and it was really beautiful, I really see it for Christmas eve as a festive fast meal

Happy, the border terrier we have at my parents' house for 2 months now is a crazy boy  Every time I go there, which is several times a week, he's welcoming me like if he didn't see me for weeks, jumps up and down, "talk" to me with a cute high pitch voice and manage to convince me to go for, at least, 1 long walk, and I am talking about 1 hour walk every time. I really need to find some good walking shoes !
Have a groovy week everybody! X start the week with a smile...

Well it's 9pm here. I have just heard my 87 year old father in law has had another fall in the night. Just waiting to hear if I need to hop on a plane and come home. Think it is going to be a long night.
Ohhh no @rawkaren! Poor FIL..hope he is ok
Has he been admitted to hosp? X
Dunno @candicemarie. I know the ambulance is there and he has hit his head in the hallway. That's all I know at the moment. Thank God for technology and being able to stay in touch.

Edit. He is refusing to go to hospital unless his doctor instructs him to do so. Not a good note to try and go to sleep on.
Ohdear
Not much you can do is there
Hope he goes hosp and gets checked
In the meantime, hope you can switch off and go to sleep x
Well here's a thing. I have just been to Sainsbury's to buy some stir fry veggies for tonight. While I was there I thought I would buy a bag of frozen mince to have on standby as we have a few comings and goings in our house coming up. For years I have bought their frozen lean mince which comes at a bit of a premium. Last time my hubby bought it and came back with a bag of '20% fat' mince - was this the new 'lean' mince. This led me to check the back of the bags. They had 3 sorts of frozen mince - Lean which has 15.3% fat, standard which has 17.7% mince and the 20% stuff which is self explanatory. The price for 1.5 kg of the standard mince was the same as for 1kg of the other 2 types. Now what is that all about?
@lil could it have anything to do with how the different minces are made up..whether they are beef or mix of beef and pork? Would affect prices? x
@rawkaren any news on yr father in law? Hope he's ok and hope you got some sleep x
They were all beef mince. Very similar packs except for the writing on the front ( and the back of course)
Stick with the lean option @Lil :like:
Maybe ask Sainsb what the heck they're doing?
Could it just be the girl on the checkout made a mistake?
Very admiring of Phillip Schofield doing a 24 hour Text Santa marathon. Includes some abseiling i think, and now doing the weather forecast.
Seems like an all round good egg! :like:
This is what Christmas is all about...making it special for those in need x
I had a look on line@CandiceMarieand it looks like they are changing the range and our store has a bit of the old and the new ranges, The old range seems to be beef mince - 17.7% fat and lean beef mince 15.3% fat . The new range is 12% and 20% which seems to make a lot more sense. There was none of the 12% there or I would probably have had it. Being a thrifty soul I bought a bag of the standard beef mince as there didn't seem to be much difference between them. I think what I will do is something I have done in the past which is to cook it up in some water and use my gravy separator to take the fat off before using it and next time I won't be so mean.
