I' m glad you got to the bottom of that@Lil
I dont think its mean buying the standard -what you do makes sense economically and healthwise - and the difference in price is better off in yr pocket than in Mr Sainsburys! X
Not checked this thread for a few days.............

@Manderley - I will also own up to watching the "Biggest Penis" programme - out of curiosity - made my eyes water! Was quite interesting though - I had heard that sometimes very well-endowed porn stars have problems "performing" because they can feel faint when all the blood has gone South!

@rawkaren - sorry to hear about FIL - when are you back anyway??????? Will you be around Sheffield at all?
Update on FIL. Admitted to a small hospital in Oakham, Rutland. I know it well as it was where MIL passed away... It gives us time to figure out what to do when he is well enough to come home, assuming that he comes through this.
@madcatlady. FIL permitting, I will be in Sheffield overnight on December 17.
Spotted a rather lovely motivational quote today:

"You have one month to finish the book of 2014. Make the last chapter a perfect one".

Off we go then!
For some reason I keep bumping into motivational quotes. Really like this one

"There should be a refund on calories for things that didn't taste as good as you expected"

Should we set up a motivation tent?
Love the quotes Karen, @rawkaren, fingers crossed for FIL. Rutland a lovely spot, not too far from here.
@rawkaren I hope everything will be al-right with your FIL :clover: :crossed: , I understand what you're going through right now

Speaking of which, my mother fell... again... Sunday, my dad called me at 9:00AM urging me to come to help to get her up. I was so angry and frustrated that my whole body was shaking and I can tell you that she heard what I had to say, even if I know that it won't change how she acts. She had a scan yesterday, we'll see what the results say...

I am up to make some orange jelly, I need to try several "recipes" before chosing the one that I will have at Christmas; This one may be a winner

Just seen OH off to work and can't believe it is white all over outside. First snow this season. Don't think it will last long but right now it seems to be snowing pretty heavily.
Wet and rainy here 30miles north by the coast Karen - although sleety coming back down the A1 from Berwick last night.
Snow @rawkaren! Must seem such a contrast to being in San Fran!
Just wild,wet and windy here
How is yr father in law doing? X
@candicemarie. San Fran has the biggest storm of the year coming today so I'm probably better off here. FIL has been transferred to palliative care. He has fractured his spine when he fell and has lung failure so there is nothing they can do for him. Tough times ahead.
@rawkaren, sorry to hear about FIL, a stressful period ahead for all of you.

I went shopping to Inverness this morning I left in the sunshine, went to get petrol and then the whole journey was a dreadful - horizontal heavy wet snow! I started the journey going 60mph but it didn't take long to get down to 30mph at times. The worst bit was when a lorry passed in the opposite direction and blinded me with the spray from the road. There were a lot of lorries on the road. The good thing was that the weather must have prevented people going to the shops because they were really quiet.
Hi @rawkaren oh that sounds grim about yr poor FIL x another worru..i hope next yr will be easier for you. This year has gone so fast and theres been a fair bit of bad news on here. I hope 2015 is better for all,and also that it brings our @Sue.Q back to us.
Hi @wildmissus i felt shivery just reading yr post x
Well my tree has just arrived, so I know what the cat and I will be doing for the next few hours. Me putting the baubles on and him taking them off again. We should dig out that Christmas decoration thread from last year.
@rawkaren enjoy yr tree with Archie!
Any tips,my DD is worried about her kitten ruining her tree/ limbing her tree/ pulling it over/hurting himself with baubles, pine needles etc
Think she may have to opt for a fake tree x
