Re: New plan: so far so good!

Hey TML, cross threading - I hope life sorts itself out for you soon and you can get back on it when you're ready.

Ahem, I knew I had overdone it Friday night and all day yesterday. Back on scale this morning, oh oh. But hopefully it will all go again next week.....

TML - similarly. I've just taken a week out as well, due to 'life getting in the way' - but then as has been said before, that's the fab-ness of this diet, you can do this and come back and take up where you left off, without guilt. Hope things sort themselves out for you soon :victory: :like:

Wildmissus, great result and hope this continues for you - have seen how you've stuck at it over the last few weeks. Go girl go! :victory: :like:

Just been reading a few of the more 'contentious' threads as well, (while I idle along not fasting  ) and I want to congratulate all for your clear-headedness and common sense, as well as your debating skills     - and as well as all the accounts from people like julieathome and mariposa, to name but two of the many with tales to tell ... It's inspiring just to read, and like Fatdog says, it brings a tear to the eye

Grace under pressure 'n all that ...

FatDog , I'm in Nairn, about 150 miles away from you!

Silverdarling, Thanks for your support. I'll do another progress report this evening but I will say that the scales were very kind to me this morning.

Wildmissus the health food shop in Baron Taylor st sell both oat bran and the no cal pastas and noodles. It is like an Aladins cave in there.

Thanks Nessie, never been in there. The girls finish on Friday for 7 weeks of school holidays and I'm off work for 2 weeks - I can feel a mega shopping spree in Inverness coming on. Better make sure I take my credit card as its easy to spent a small fortune in these health food shops. Just remembered that I go to Findhorn quite a lot, so there is also the shoppie in the Foundation.

Oh, I know gillmary.......its a wonderful place. I often go there on my own and wonder round the bay to the beach and back, it makes me feel like a million dollars, then into the Foundation. My sister once said that doctors should prescribe this.

How do you know about Findhorn?

Progress report. Day 3.

Can you guess what the scales said today - 2lb off, yes 2lb off in one day. 3lb in 2 days. I'm gobsmacked but trying not to get too excited as likely some of it will go back on. My official weigh day is Friday, so I'll report back then.

Breakfast
Dukan pancake

Lunch
Scrambled egg on ham
Yogurt

Dinner
King prawns, chicken, zero noodles, onion, spices, stir friedish
Yogurt

Supper
Will be a cooked chicken breast as it needs eaten.

As I've said before this hasn't been difficult but very boring - I like lots of flavour and texture and sauces. I almost caved in when I was doing a food shop this morning and needless to say I bought quite a bit of junk - chocolate, crisps. I guess that is why so many diets fail - wanting what you can't have. I have said this before but now I feel in the right place to do it - I need to reduce the amount of bad carbs I consume and increase my veg portions. I hope that this has got me off the plateau and given me a bit of insight as to how to eat better. I really fancy a bowl of strawberries and raspberries with crushed merinque and a little fresh cream.

Tomorrow is a fast day, Tues and Wed back to normal, Thurs a fast day and the weigh on Friday. Got my fingers crossed already.

Well done wildmissus you have been inspiring with your tenacity
Wishing you great numbers for your weigh in
Re Findhorn I read the book about it many years ago, my sister went for a retreat there and I love Eileen Caddy 's affirmations for a positive approach. I understand Findhorn feels very special when you visit so its lovely to have that confirmed
