And I highly recommend the Smart Wool Socks...eliminated my blisters completely.

So I did a google on where the pain was and found a good article listing three possible causes - one was as simple as having the laces tied to tight near the middle section of the shoe.
So that one was easy to put to the test, loosened them slightly and no pain - seems my right foot is a little fatty and needs more room haha.
And yea they are new proper walking/running shoes Didn't walk as far today but still managed to clock up about 5km
Don't read the following if on a fast day...
Not looking forward to the scales tomorrow but ya gotta treat yaself every now and then

Welcome Annurca and glad your foot is feeling better tbreweton
Someone, forgive me I can't remember who, posted on our fitbit group page that they would prefer our group was private. He/She also suggested that we share our weekly stats/goals. I would be happy to copy and paste my weekly update email to here. Or maybe we can start a new thread for that purpose.
Does anyone know how to set up a poll on here so I can check what the general concensus is. As far as I know, there are three options; completely private, invite only but viewable by all or completely open.
I'm happy with any. We have 23 members to date and I would be grateful if I could hear from as many of you as poss before a decision is made.
Your thoughts please

Hi Umleila,
Here's my 2p worth - I am happy with the group as it currently is, but will go with whatever is the most popular solution. In terms of comapring activity levels, I use the leaderboard. I don't have any goals set beyond the 10,000 steps a day (maybe that is something I should consider)

I think it is a good idea to start a thread with the weekly email from fitbit. Not sure how to setup a pole, maybe ask Moogi? One way would be to start a thread and name it " pole for fitbit users" Another way would be to do the same on the fitbit group site. I don't care whether the group is private or public, but I wish that more people will introduce themselves and communicate. It is nice to get to know each other and to learn about other people activities.
So what did you do yesterday Umleilla? I see many steps
I just woke up. Today it is a no workout day but planning a nice walk with my hubby. It is a really nice day today in NY

Good Morning Einatbl,
After a fairly lazy day yesterday I have been out for a run today. I was rather slow getting myself out of the house and it was very warm and humid, my GPS app on my phone failed but I know the route is about 5.9km and according to my FitBit I was active for about 45 mins.
This afternoon I have ironing to do, which apart from being a dull activity is one which doesn't involve many steps.
Enjoy your Sunday

Hi SianS. Well done. This is great here we had a very humid week last week, but it is getting better. I'm still lazy and in bed.
It was me who suggested a weekly thread on here so that others can see our fitbit fun and maybe join in. I'm also happy to be private or not. To be honest I'm at a stage in my life that I'm not bothered who sees what, as with the progress tracker, you've gotta take the good with the bad. When I had a couple of blow out weeks I was horrified with the amount of damage I'd done to my progress, so I gave myself a massive kick up the bum and now I'm climbing up the leader board. Carieoates on there too.
Morning Fitbit friends. Off to the beach to get my steps in with the sand and waves between my toes. We've gone way up north to the Chicago suburbs. Then, a picnic lunch and a hike at the Indiana Dunes. Busy day. Many steps and "stairs" to be had. See you on the on the leader boards!
Being by the sea sounds blissful, don't get sand in your Fitbit
Oh wow, so jealous to be walking on the beach. Concrete sidewalks for me most of the time...but I do enjoy looking at the yards of others and thinking what I would like to do some day when I have more time.
While I don't necessarily care who reads our comments on the fitbit site, I do think it would be nice that they are invited to join us after they have found us thru this forum...after all, it is the 5:2 UK fitbit group.
How about we just start a weekly thread on the 5:2 forum for fitbit users much like the first faster does each day of fasting. Maybe something like Fitbit Chat for week of August 11....
I have my fitbit set to start my week on Sunday, I believe the other option is to start on Monday. Splitting the week-end gives me more incentive on both the front and back end of my weekly goal.

Sounds good to me, but when in doubt ....Ask Moogie
I like the idea of a weekly thread. So I went for a nice walk outside by the Bronx river... Really beatiful. And got to the Starbucks at te train station and than back home via the grocery store. It is now 1:40 and I already did over 14000 steps
Can somebody explain what affects the active score on the fitbit leaderboard?

Active score.... hmm
I looked at this a few days back and it seems to be shrouded in mystery and science, all to do with METs apparently. I must admit I zoned out at that point. My Active score is I think skewed by the 2 days last week my Fitbit went crazy.
I'm just behind you, going to sync soon, who knows ........

I just started a weekly thread for us for this week...looking forward to seeing your achievements this week.
