I've got my one and had it a couple of days now. It really is a huge diffence than the zip. I loved the zip when I had it but Inlove the one even more.

Syncing to the phone is a lot easier, no tapping, it just happens staright away. I lovebthe counting floors and the fact that it has a backlight. The one advantagebto thenzip was thatbit was one tap to change steps rather than two for the One, but that is minor. Two days so far and no need to charge. How often do those of you with a one charge it?

The weird thing is that it seems to be a lot lot harder to get my active minutes. I had to do so many more steps than usual to get 60 and also at a lot faster pace! What's that all about?

Also not sure if it's ok to mention, but while I was ordering mine I was iin contact with someone on UK gumtree who was originally saying he would sell for £50 new but agreed to go to £40 which is an absolute bargain. He said he had around thirty fitbit ones and the ad is still there. If i bought from him and anyone else on gumtree I would use paypal so that both parties are covered.

Anyway, as I say not sure if ok to mention, so mods please delete if not :)

I've had a mammouth two days trying to reach my 60 mins active target so much so that I am thinking of decreasing it because it seems so much harder with the one.

Sians how many did you get to by the end of the day?

My fitbit stays charged for about 9-10 days. It will show a battery when it needs charged and it charges very quickly, probably less than an hour.

For me, I only get active minutes if I walk at a pace fast enough to get the green bars as opposed to the yellow and orange bars. It appears I need a pace of about 1700+ steps in a 15 minute period to qualify for active minutes.

Another VERY interesting thing I noticed lately is that if I walk in the morning, I receive more calories for the day than if I walk in the evening. Impressive that it's calculating that post exercise burn.

I love my fitbit. I want to marry my fitbit.

I don't understand what you mean by yellow and orange bars...unless you have a Flex. The display window on my One isn't in color. I have to go online and sync to see my active minutes. But, if the flower is really large, it usually means I have been pretty active.

Well first day out with the Fitbit one - went for a walk into town instead of driving, clocked up my first 10k step badge :-D

Wow its pretty crazy to see what the recommended activity level is... I'm a little depressed now - I must be a lazy ass hahahaha

Time to get off my butt more I think

Was funny walking and getting emails to my phone with badge alerts - I was like "hmmm I can get the next one.." great motivator

This might help. Not sure but it was sent to me when I told them some of my active minutes disappeared the day before last and also as I posted above they seem harder to achieve...

We are sorry to hear your One tracker is not logging correctly your Active Minutes since it has been harder to get since you have changed of tracker.

It shouldn't be harder to get your active minutes, this is why we believe the problem may be remedied by restarting your tracker.

To restart your One tracker, please do the following:

1. Plug your tracker into the charging cable, which needs to be connected to your computer. Please make sure that the gold dots on your tracker align with the gold contacts in the inside of the charger. When you hear a click, you will know your One is in the charging cable properly.
2. Hold down the button on your tracker for 12 seconds.
3. Remove your tracker from the charging cable.
4. Press the button on your tracker until the screen illuminates again. Your One should function properly now.

However, Fitbit trackers calculate Very Active Minutes using metabolic equivalents (METs). Very Active Minutes are earned for all minutes above a certain MET value. Intensity level is determined by the MET value within a minute. A higher MET value within a minute results in a higher intensity based on the thresholds we have established. For more information on METs, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metabolic_equivalent.

Rest assured, that you can update your information logged by your tracker by adding an activity, this will help to increase your Met's

We hope this gets you back on track. Please let us know if you need any more help.

Sincerely,
Julio C and the Fitbit Team

Thank you for that.

I have finally got my support request off so I will wait for a reply. As you know from having a Zip those reset instructions don't apply to the Zip.
I quite like the fact that it is telling me I have used nearly 7000 calories today as that is probably how many calories I consumed for lunch

Umleila I do have a Zip, sorry I wasn't being clear in my reply, but your reset solution related to a One.
Speaking of which I have sent a cheeky email in reply to FitBit asking if I could pay the difference and upgrade to a One *fingers crossed*

General One related question- some of the internet reviews refer to a weak clip, is this the case? the one on the Zip has to be prised off my bra at the end of the day

I actually like the clip on the one better because its not quite as firm as the zip, but it is firm enough in my opinion.

Good luck with the request :)
