Well another 7km walk today to try and keep up with you all haha! Not very easy on a fast day - coming up 24 hours without food and ready with anticipation!

Look forward to the news the scales give me in the morning (as well as the tape measure!

I venture your body doesn't know it is a fast day in the morning..only you mind does. Now, I do feel a little less energy on the morning after a fast. Mind you, I still get my steps in and I visualize the fat cells shrinking.

Well done tbreweton! Onwards and downwards :)

My sync issue has been resolved by adding the one to the app as if it was a new device. Phew panic over!

I've switched to maintenance now and am confident being active with the fitbit will help me with that. Hope everyone has a great day, fasting or not :)

Helloo fellow fitbitters. I just wanted to make comment about the use of the fitbit forum. I only used it yesterday as the 5.2 one was down. And I also would prefer if it was private amongst ourselves. Sometimes it may be easier to chat about technical things on their rather than here as we have had our dashboard open in front of us. On another note, I was wondering if we could have say a weekly thread available to us on here to compare stats, goals etc. Or if our beloved 5.2 providers could facilitate this on our behalf. I have to say that I'm loving my new way of life - 5.2 and fitbit combined. My husband last night said are you doing IT again today. But its a Friday, did you mean to fast today? He then drank at least a bottle of wine and woke up with a head ache. I on the other hand jumped on the scales then shot off to my exercise class and burned at least 500 cals. Woop Woop. He's now gone for the day playing golf, and bring home my weekly treat of a Chinese take away.

TBRewerton, I excercise on fast and non fast days similarly. I usually do the large bulk of my workout early in the morning and I don't feel any difference between fast or non fast days. I am not less energetic after a fast day either. However, I need a small nutritious snack (a low carb low cal muffin-80 calories) and a large coffee before my excercise.with the fitbit and the group motivation I find myself much more energetic in the evenings too even on fast days so I do lots of running in place in front of the tv or in the kitchen while waiting for water to boil etc...at work I avoid lifts and try to walk as much as I can.

Hi all. Just woke up. it is 8am in NY. And I see that you are a head of me. I'm ranked no. 5. In an hour or so I am planning a 15 min. Of cross training, 2 miles running ( hope it is less humid than yesterday) and some weight training. What are the rest of you doing?/did?

That sounds like a great day so far Einatlb :like:

I'm struggling today. I've made my floor target (50) by running up and downstairs at home, but not been out yet today at all. I love that the one has floors though. My muscles are hurtung like they haven't in a while since I have this new target to reach :)

My daughter just wants me to snuggle with her on couch as she watches my little pony on YouTube which I'm not complaining about :)

I'm hoping when DH gets home later. I can make up some steps then.

50 floors, that's a great goal I usually do between 30-40. During he week it is easier since I don't use lifts at work

I'm having a sedentary day. I volunteered as a Marshall at my local parkrun so stood around directing traffic rather than running - someone has to do it !

Now don't breathe a word to anyone but my FitBit seems to have sorted itself out *shhhhh*

While I was away the last couple of days I was using a gym that had a weird "entry lock " door system no idea if some part of that was making my Zip behave oddly.

Anyway watch as I slide down the rankings ....wheeeeee

Hi,
I've just bought a Fitbit One and am signed up to the group.
It's already made me run up and down the stairs a few times, just so I can check it's registering...
I was aiming for 10,000 steps per day and see that that is WAY below what some of you are achieving, there are some impressive totals up there!
Now it's time to master the sleep setting!

Welcome Annurca and good luck with achieving your goals. TBRewerton- it is important to increase your activity gradually to prevent injuries that may ground you completely. Take it easy and set a reasnable target for the next week, then Increase it a bit every week. Good luck

Yea I think its just the wearing in of the shoes - going to reduce it for the next week and like you say slowly work back up.
