GGW71 wrote: Morning fellow fasters! I'm in today too - my third fast.

I'm slighltly disappointed after a 1lb loss in my first week - had expected more but i'm now going to use My Fitness Pal to record my food days - just to make sure i keep on track.

Last weeks 2 fasts went really well but today i'm already hungry :starving: He ho - lots of water should help.

Have a read of the FAQ's, particularly "I've been so good...". 1 lb = 3600 calorie deficit, so pretty much on track.

Whilst 2 days of 500 cals seems severe, it's not a huge deficit and natural fluctuations mask actual true losses or gains. If you were on Slimmer's World, the deficit would be much more, maybe double so you see more losses initially but...

Anyway, enough preaching. I'm in today, off to the gym once I get going this morning. Have made cabbage & bacon soup for later. Looks a bit insipid, do will add some greenery to it.

I'm now the object of much debate when I go to the gym evening classes. I think a continued loss is confusing people. I'm not sure what they're expecting...

I think that's the thing though, because the normal food is included in the way of eating, there's no falling off the wagon and therefore more certainty. Not walking a tightrope, more a nice, soft, woodland track.
Count me in I really need to do a couple of good fasts this week as things have slipped a little lately. Good luck to all :clover: Sue
This will be my penultimate, maybe even last fast before going on holiday on Friday so I'm making the most of it!
I'm in too! :0) I've finally fallen off my 'what felt like a lifetime' plateau so I'm feeling much more motivated! Happy fasting all!!
I'm in, back to my usual M/W/F overdosed on meat last night (more BBQ!) so am looking forward to a free day!
Back from two weeks holiday, I really, really need to be in today! Happily, I slept until 10 so breakfast isn't an issue

6lb gained  but I really did indulge so it could have been worse, hoping it goes as quickly as it arrived once I ease off
We are in too. (Les and I).

Les drives a lorry and can't sign in but he's determined to have a good week, as he's put on a bit while on holidays.

Had a former colleague pop into shop this morning and commenting on how young I look (cut my hair short about 6 weeks ago) and how much weight I've lost. Nice things to hear. :victory:

Good luck everyone :clover:
Count me in today! Good Luck Everyone! :clover:
I am in today too! This is my second week, and third fast day. Had to have a light breakfast because the skipping breakfast thing does not work for me. I should have a busy day at work today so hopefully the hunger pains won't be so pronounced :) Have a good day all!!
Hi everyone - Hope your fasting has gone well so far today. I was ready to give up before I even started because my insomnia has been so bad and I have a long day of driving ahead of me. Screw that, I say. I'm in! Thanks Forum - I needed to say that to someone. Good fasting!
hoping to succeed today after my first fail on Friday:(been doing this since May, lost the last 5 kilos but after one month maintenance I've slipped and gained one! fingers crossed I make it to bedtime.
I am in. I am having a lazy day today. Dinner is all planned, weather is rubbish so I am under the duvet with my Labrador.
what's for lunch?

Hi fasting buddies

I don't know about everybody else but today I couldn't wait for lunchtime to arrive !

I couldn't hold on any longer so just had 2 ryvitas with small tin of tuna, and a little thinly sliced avocado... just over 140 calories and a fizzy 0 cal drink, feel much better :victory:

not exactly an exciting lunch but really stuck for ideas today, so what's everybody going to have, care to share?

happy fast day!!

Angie
