Today was my fastiversary fast and I fluid fasted until 7:30 pm and had small serves of cauliflower au gratin and my version of turkey cottage pie with ceeliac mash. Was nice. Chuffed to be still at it one year on. Good fasting everyone
I'm in because what @madcatlady said (and she's not mad at all. Just lovely) :smile:

@gillymary well done. Happy fasting Fastiversary :smile:
I decided against it today, I wasn't feeling well enough. I'll try again tomorrow. Good luck everyone fasting x
I'm in :) Quite looking forward to it after not fasting last week, and then all of the junk I've eaten this weekend, but surely OH's birthday is as good as an excuse as any!? My favourite Moroccan chicken soup for dinner after the gym tonight - starting week 3 of couch to 5k. Throughout the day I'll have plenty of herbal tea and water - and can have a couple off coffees with milk if I need them with my remaining calories.

The sun is shining! I'm feeling very positive about fasting and life in general today :D
I am 'in' today.....courgette bake tonight with a huge salad...can't wait. Good luck everyone.
I'm in today! Regained my target weight on Saturday before the East Anglia meet-up, but serious over-eating yesterday (including some of the Aldi chocolate from @Wendy Darling and an obscene amount of other chocolate) has made a fast today totally essential, especially as it's my sixty-fifth birthday tomorrow and I don't intend to hold back for that!

I don't have to cook for my husband today so salad and soft boiled eggs, fresh from our chooks, for me this evening. Yum!

Good luck to those fasting today! :clover: Onwards and downwards! :victory:
I am joining you all today to. Happy fasting to everyone. I am just having a quick cuppa after a busy morning before going to work and a busy afternoon.
I love a successful fast day :-)
Not long until bedtime for me, then a lovely guilt free lunch with friends tomorrow.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.
See some of you here on Wednesday :-)
I am going to fast today too :)

I am going to try a 2-mile run today. Being extremely new to 5:2, I'm not sure how running and fast days will go together, but I want to try it out to see if I should avoid running on a fast day or whether it's fine. I read some previous threads where people generally said it was fine, so fingers crossed! I also ate and drank a lot at a friend's BBQ last night (first BBQ of the year, can't believe we weren't freezing!), so I feel as though I've got plenty of energy stored in my body. It's also a really short distance so I don't think it will be too hard.

I want to have a go because I feel like if I avoid trying, I'm going to either (a) use running as an excuse not to do a fast day, or (b) use fasting as an excuse not to run, both of which aren't good!

Best wishes to everyone fasting today! :like:
Im in too. For some reason I find it easier to be cooking or baking on fast days. Im not much of a cook, but I have been trying out more complex recepies in fast days for the family. Coc au vin tonight! Not so much complicated as time consuming. Tuna stake and greens for me.

@Enileme, I usually run on both fast days. I head out first thing in the morning, when I still have some energy!

@Stowgateresident, happy nearly birthday. :grin:
@gillymary Congratulations! Wonderful day!
I'm in. There, now I'm committed to it for today. More later. Good luck all.

Happy fastiversary gillymary :star: :star:
My OH & I are fasting today after a rather indulgent weekend. I am hoping to get back on track with more consistently losing weight but my OH with a shared regime is continuing to lose weight! I am already feeling rather hungry but won't eat until supper this evening.
Hope you all have a good day.
Hi everyone,

I have slipped off track and gained back some of the weight I lost on 5:2. We had a terrible winter here in the northeast, U.S. and I found myself snowed in and looking to eat carbs.

I am starting 5:2 again today and plan to fast on Mondays and Thursdays.

Thanks for being there for support.

Anne
