@gillymary you have probably already shared it but please could you share that bake recipe again. Sounds delish. Thank you

I will be in tomorrow after a 2 week holiday break
After a 2 week holiday break I will be in tomorrow. Saddle up,and ride your pony indeed  thanks for that I'll be singing it all day now

Sallyo, working your way through a Middle Eastern recipe book sounds fabulous. I've been feeling very uninspired with meal ideas recently, maybe I should give this a try. Tomorrow :)
@Wendy Darling thanks for the link! I hadn't thought of the song til you mentioned it..
Now i' m going to bed singing it!
" saddle up and ride your pony
Sit around and you' ll be lonely! "
Poe kneeeee
I will be in when morning gets here. Made a huge pot of ratatouille with vegs from the garden, except I had to buy bell peppers since the weather hasn't been pepper tomato ripening weather. It came out delicious, so i'll have that and a couple of chicken sausages with some watermelon for dessert.
I am also back to a strict 500 calories for 2 days & TDEE the other five w/16/8 during the week. When I stopped doing that, my progress slowed & even reversed, so back to the beginning I go. Have a great fast everyone!
Oh dear, I fear I shan't sound quite so cheery as I have a chest infection and am at work contemplating a fast and wishing I had some soothing yoghurt for my throat. I shall do my best and good luck to everyone else.
I'm not going to be able to do a proper fast as I've already had a soy mocha this morning but going to try and have a low calorie day.

Finding it difficult as haven't fasted for weeks so going straight to 500 will be too hard for me and I'll give up. I'll aim for 700-800 and see how I feel :) Will hopefully then try for a proper fast on Thursday.

Lil
Wise move Lil, then that way you have still achieved and not failed at all. Welcome back by the way!
Following my plan of cooking dinner early so that I'm not doing it when I'm starving late in the afternoon.. I have made a vegetable sauce: onion, celery, carrot and tomato and then this afternoon I'll bake some flounder in it. Don't know how many calories but should be ok. The trouble is there are two slices of last night's pork belly and a half an orange steam pudding sitting on the bench and asking to be nibbled on. Better hide them in the fridge. Good luck all you 'back to basics' fasters and thanks Gillymary for explaining it to me.
Cheers Debs :) hope all's well with you x
I'm in. Freezing here and getting colder. It was 10.3 when I looked half an hour ago and now it's dropped to 9.9 . Brrrr.
Sure is cool - it is 6 feels like 3 in the Dandenongs...

Am having my first coffee for the day, not really in the mood for fasting tho. Kept busy all morning cleaning elder son's den... Not sure what I can motivate myself to do this afternoon to keep me occupied til dinner time.

@Debs, hope you feel better very soon - perhaps not the best day to fast - you should have that soothing yoghurt. You need to look after yourself! :)
Thanks Sassy, just having a cuppa soup and will retire to my room shortly for a snooze, so that should cover some of the eating day!
I'm in, first fast for this week. :)

Prosperous fasting everyone.
