I don't want to speak too soon but it's 8PM and I'm under 500cals. Eek!

Lil
Well done @LilSmiler Being under the 500cls :like:
We're all hoping to mirror your success today. :clover: :clover: :clover:
Busy Spring cleaning the bedroom just popped down for a bottle of water to keep my fluid intake up. :like:
Snap stowgate, I am on them too but didn't read anything about food so I have ignored it. Glad to see you back on the wagon Lil, I am back to basics too with my Monday fast. I have gone slightly over but at least I have got through the day successfully and am just having a little greek yoghurt to help my throat.
Good luck to you all today!
Late entry here, but I'm about to go off to bed very early- and cuddle up with my book!
Successful day with a swim, visit to Mum, then some housework.
Nibbled some strawberries at 4pm, then DD and I had our big plate of stir fried veges in Ginger and lemon, followed by a plate of melon and more berries.
Low cal hot choc and I Italian biccy then shut up shop.
Have a good evening/night everyone, we'll all soon be done.
My OH & I are joining in today & back now in our usual routine. I have still got 2lbs of holiday weight to lose so will be doing three fasts this week to try & lose as much weight as possible in the next three weeks before my sons wedding.
I hope you all have a good fast day. Only fluids for us until supper time!
Hi, @debs- re the antibiotics - apparently it depends on which type they are whether they should be taken before, after or with food. Mine didn't state on the pharmacy label but did specify on the leaflet inside, so I thought that I better do as I was told! They also have to be spread as evenly as possible throughout the 24 hours, so I shall be taking mine at 8.30am, 4.00pm and 11.30pm. It's a good job that I'm a night owl!

Hope that you are feeling better soon.
Time for my oxo cube.
Been making shepherds pie for dinner. And then absent minded lay shoved a couple of almonds in my mouth. :frown:
Yay! Completed my first proper ' back to basics' fast in 6 weeks. No food till dinner which was a hot and sour soup. Although I won't go back to 3 small meals on a fast day like i used to 18 months ago what helped me today was an oldie but a goodie " I can have it tomorrow" . I also feel remotivated after rewatching Dr Ms documentary just now. He is a cutie. I hope you feel better soon @Alexandra @Debs and @Stowgateresident.
Xxx julianna
Off to sleep now :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy:
Right there with you @julianna - though my day is only halfway through, I too am "back to basics" today after a little wobble over the past 3 or so weeks....as in, not bothering at all and eating everything in sight

Have defrosted some Lemon Rasam soup ready for tonight & I have plenty to keep me busy, including a committee meeting to attend tonight, so not anticipating much of a problem. I've let myself far too off the hook of late....& need to get back with the program!!

Must set some time aside to catch up with what's been going on here......

Best of luck to you all xx

I am fasting today and hungry!
@lizbean I am hoping my check- in will keep me focused on fasting.
Truth is all I want to do is eat the bag of revels in the cupboard :starving:
This rainy weather is rubbish too!
Ooh these Monday blues are bad today! Will stop the self pity now!!
OK - have you missed me? Only three weeks to go until the hip replacement and even though I am, well not scared to death but somewhat apprehensive? Stood on the scale this morning and hurray, back to the weight I had managed to reach before the thyroid going crazy again. Even though I haven't fasted, I have been quite careful with what I have put in my mouth but that scale made me decide to do a real fast today and so far only water. I'm going to do this until surgery, cause the lesser kg you weight then the better.

And my DH got me this spinning bike (the doc said I have to had an exercise bike for rehab) and I actually look forward to use it after surgery.
@spanner - I was just tagging you in - this is a determined fasting thread today, so hope that helps your resolve! Sunny in London so far ......

Off to purchase more fizzy water ........ it is lunchtime here and I'm avoiding the café/club at work.

Go @Hazelnut20, good to see you here.
I'm in as usual today. Still shaving away the holiday weight painfully slowly. Same as last July/August. I got throught last year and I will again this year, I've been to aquajog this morning - my new favourite exercise. This afternoon will be gardening or sewing depending on the weather. I've got a pork loin for tonight which we will have with lots of veg - I will have 100g of meat. I bought some sugar free licorice sweets in Tesco this morning - 6 cal each - may have one or two as a treat later on.
Well done @julianna on getting through your back to basic fast, you'll feel great in the morning and thanks for the reminder 'I can have it tomorrow' :) the old ones are the best :) Well done @wolfie, just shows how much you eating habits must have changed, all the best for the op hun
Keep on Keeping on everyone, we can do this :clover: :clover: :clover:
Great fasting thread today. So much passion! I've got through the day with only a little wobble around 5pm, As soon as I'd eaten tea I felt fine. I often find after tea, I think, that's not enough! I want more! But if I can hold off, it actually is enough and I don't need more and the feeling goes away. I tell myself I have to wait 20 minutes and if I'm still hungry then, I can have something more, but after 20 minutes. I'm not hungry.
Off to bed for me. 'Night all.
