Day over. 6 bottles of apricots processed and 6 trays drying in the dehydrator. We still have apricots, probably enough for another 6 bottles. No sewing done, thanks to running around town to medical appointments. A good dinner of fish with Thai cucumber salad. I feel replete and ready to sleep. Continue well, you Westies. Pedometer on 10576. Good effort.
Hello everybody
@Sallyo: great :like: have a good night
For my first fast I feel lucky for now, it's almost 2 pm and I am not hungry at all yet but let's see later
I had only water and I keep myself busy at work
my goal is to wait 6 pm to have a nice dinner
I plan to have a chicken salad and I ll take an apple in case i am hungry earlier
I ll keep you updated later
have a good day everybody
Hi all, I'm in for my first fast of the week. Good luck everyone :clover: :clover: :clover:
I'm in today as well, just having my lunch - a cup of fennel tea. The weather is dreadful here today - very windy with snow showers, perfect for getting some things done in the house and hopefully a bit of sewing as well. I need to go out later for my pilates class at 6pm but after that I'll have the wood burner going, have a soak in the bath and a late evening hot chocolate to finish the day.
I'm in. It's snowing today and I've already been out to shovel the driveway. I like to do it every few inches because it's so much easier to shovel 2 or 3 inches of snow than it is to shovel six or 12 inches of snow. We were only supposed to get 1 inch, but Id' say we've gotten 4 already.

We're going to have salads at Chipotle for dinner. I hate cooking on a fast day, and I didn't have anything prepared in advance. So we're eating out. We may decide to go out for thai food. I like to get a very low calorie basil chili chicken dish there - it's mostly really low calorie veggies like broccoli, onions and capsicum/bell peppers, with some chicken and it's steamed with a bit of very light broth. It comes with brown rice but I try to eat only 1/4 cup of that.

Ok, I need to stop thinking about food. We're not supposed to get above freezing here until this weekend. I think our high today will top out at about -5c/23f.

I've got a new book to curl up with, so that should occupy me for a bit :-)
Glad to hear its going so well @NewJo. I think leaving your meal until as late as possible is probably the best plan. Having said that, I've just eaten my Chili Con Carne (courtesy of M&S) Thought I'd have some soup this evening instead!
Good luck everyone and just enjoy letting your tummies rest
Fastday is passing quickly and smoothly! Hope same for everyone else x
Well done everybody, fast finishers and late fasters...keep going! :clover:
Not very smooth here @CandiceMarie...
My class this morning was cancelled, so I'm at home trying to do jobs, but it's cold and my tummy is rumbling!! I've even resorted to hoovering to get warm!
I'm going to make a cuppa. Might have to put the heating on too...
Glad to hear your day is going smoothly Candy @Candicemarie. Its great to finally be in sync with you. Will you be joining us on Wednesday as well?!
@Golarne I hope the rest of your fast day improves!
I'm in for a fast today! It's only 9AM, so a long way to go! I didn't get my normal boot camp workout in this morning since the roads were icy. I don't like to go out early if the roads are not good. Not worth it to end up in an accident. Waiting to go out till a bit later lets the crews get anti-skid material put down on the icy bits.

I plan to do boot camp Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday this week. Fast days are Monday & Thursday. I think that may work out quite well!

Have a good day all!
Sassy1 wrote: Good morning! It's a perfect summer's day here in Melbourne, and I'm in for my second fast day after returning from holidays. I plan to get out in the garden for a while, until it gets too warm, then will need to look for other distractions!

Who else is in today? I expect quite a few, including some new starters. :) Best wishes and good luck everyone! :clover:

I'm new at this site, but I am with you, excited to get back in track with my fasts... So I am starting today and hopefully this year I get closer to my goal.... So hip hip hurra for your second day. Haven't you found that forcing yourself to "distract" yourself push you to do things you normally procrastinate.... so I hope you use your day with tons of amazing activities....
Hiiiii there Beanibobzzzzzzzzz yes it's good being in sync! I won't be here on wednesday tho..takes me all my time to do mon/ thurs..i do admire your ADF resolve!
Tomozz i' m going out for dinner yumyum! X
Just getting s started on my fast day. Cold, icy rain outside, so will be looking for indoor activities to keep me moving. I plan on making lots of trips up and down the stairs and will jump on my bike that I have set up on rollers in the basement.
Hi everyone, I am fasting too. Still hovering around the top of my maintenance range as I still have Christmas chocolates around the house. I am not exactly binging but having them on eating days pushes me over my TDEE by a few hundred cals, which seems to cancel out much of my calorie savings from fast days. :frown:

This week I aim to get to the middle of the range by doing another 4:3. Good luck to everyone.
@Ieramul I'm in for a 3 fast week this week as well, Thursday is my birthday so I have a treat Indian with hubby that night...although I shall ask them to make me my mystery dish ( no idea what it was but I asked our local guy we have known for years to make me something low fat and spicy and it was delicious !) which although better than anything else will still likely take me over TDEE, and then I have a celebration lunch on Saturday with friends which will be at our local Texan BBQ (rare in the UK to find a good one !) which is likely to take me over the limit as well .... so a bit of damage limitation this week

For some reason today I am ravenous possibly because I ate not the best yesterday.... might be time for a bouillon while I finish my presentation ....

Hang on in there everyone only a few more hours to go till we can eat and bolt the kitchen door shut on another fast :like:
