Much empathy, @gym-sparkle-90. I wince to even think of this and feel fortunate not to have had an episode for several years now. Feel better - and I hope that this clears for you in a timely manner.

I'm now in the dwindling hours of this FD (altho', strictly speaking, I suppose it lasts until Tuesday breakfast). I was a bit peckish for once - but I put that down to a very light day on Sunday.

I hope all the new starters had an interesting FD. :)
Hello Everyone!
I'm in today! Doing well. Yes -it's very cold but I like fasting when it's cold, all those nice soups and broths and tea! I enjoy them more than salads and cold veggies and water.
Today went very well, I didn't stray at all. Just a soup for lunch and some egg whites for dinner with a dash of hot sauce. Hope everyone else had a nice fast!
I'm enjoying my tea at the end of a good fast day. Question: is it still called a cuppa if it's ginger lemongrass, not English Breakfast or Earl Grey, and if the consumer is a crazy American who would never dream of putting milk into tea? Milk is for coffee, duh.

Ok, enough of that. I had a very small dinner - about 2 oz (60g) of baked salmon and a salad. Having had a latte at midday made the whole day easy. I know many people don't want to consume calories early on a fast day because of "waking the hunger monster" but I find the latte holds off the hunger pangs quite well. However, since I now fast for reasons other than weight loss, I should probably not split up my calories (at least not too often) in order to have a longer period of fasting.

See you all next Monday!
Speaking as an Australian, I think ginger and lemongrass, if hot, is certainly a cuppa. Iced tea however, I wouldn't call a cuppa. Monday takes so long around the world, eh! Here I am about to turn on the oven for Tuesday's dinner.
Hi wendyjane, to this little Pom, a cuppa is only one thing for me, a steaming big mug of strong English Breakfast-with milk. Anything else is a hot drink
Good point about a cuppa @wendyjane
Sorry @Sallyo , I agree with @Debs ! :coffee:
I think we need to invent a new word for a hot drink (such as my yesterday's raspberry & echinacea tea, then nettle & peppermint) that conveys warmth and comfort like 'cuppa'. 'Tisane' may be accurate, but sounds a bit clinical... Any ideas? :geek:
I was in today, successful light day. Just having my (herbal) tea before bed.

I've found that I need (psychologically) something "snacky" on light days to avoid feeling deprived and wanting to cheat. So, I make sure I have legal low-fat popcorn (which I measure out) and frozen yogurt bars (I like the bars, it's portion controlled) on hand for light days. Since I don't eat artificial sweeteners, flavors, or the like, I make sure I get the "natural" yet still low-cal ones. Now, I have these "snacks" after dinner; I still find that delaying major food intake till as late as possible works best for me. A challenge for me is not to graze when fixing my dinner; I hate frozen meals (except for Amy's broccoli cheese pot pies, not really a light day food!) so can't use those, have to cook myself whether I like it or not. I have found that having hardboiled eggs in the fridge for light days is very helpful; you get a lot of bang for those 78 cals. And I was happy to find that my fave split pea soup from Trader Joe's is only 100 cals for a cup (8oz), which is pretty filling and fast to heat up! (even without a microwave)
