Sorry I'm late. So rainy and cold I decided not to hold out till dinner and had a cauliflower soup for lunch then a yummy baked veg with broad bean, fetta and baby spinach salad. So yummy. Turning out the light now to catch some zzzzzzz . good luck with the rest of your fast day.
Cheers,
Julianna
I'm in today!

Weight loss has been slowing down since I reached my interim goal, and having some kind of occasion that involves eating out every weekend doesn't help. I hope today's fast can help to move the scale again. I'm also thinking of getting a second fast this week (I usually do 6:1).

Goodluck all! :)
Really good fast today. I kept busy and didn't even have miso soup, just the lamb back strap and a delicious salad made with grated raw beetroot, in an orange-red wine vinegar dressing and baby spinach from the garden. My mind feels sharp and I'm not going to bed late for a change. Michael Mosely's Eat, Fast and Live Longer has just been on SBS telly, and I didn't need to watch it again.

I'm in :=)

Starting my 5th week today and feeling rather good about myself. Just had miso soup and heading to a meeting which will keep me busy all afternoon
I'm in today. It's my 2nd fast of this 4:3 week and I'll do my 3rd on wednesday. Have a great fast everyone. :)

Happy Armistice Day everyone!

I am in and not doing too bad which is a relief!
Had a lovely roast beef lunch at the pub yesterday followed by red wine and a cheeseboard at home. Yum yum. Glad to be in repair for today!

Happy fasting people xx
jmousey wrote: I'm in today after an ok weekend but BAD sunday with lunch out and chinese for dinner. I am slightly worried as I think I may have developed an ulcer. I have a knawing kind of burny feeling under my sternum which is kind of in my chest too. Was put on nexium before when I had this for a month and it cured it. I got it after using calories on a fast day to have 2 glasses of wine - really bad idea as it hurt my tummy but my tummy hasn't been right since. Advice on what to take?

I can get stomach pain and acid if I eat/drink the wrong things on an empty stomach. I would just try something simple like Gaviscon to neutralise the acid and stay off the booze unless you have a full stomach!

Taking Zantac with food also helps stop acid being produced - I don't know if this is available over the counter though. Hope you feel better soon x
I'm in today - this is my first fast of an attempted 4:3 week and going well so far (although it's not even lunch time yet) - planning on holding out until dinner time (around 7pm) when I'll have a prawn stir fry :)
Hi everyone
About to head for bed after my fast day. Managed to survive on 350cal, which is 25% of my actual current TDEE (not sure if I have changed my level of activity in the progress tracker yet...).
Great to read the posts in this thread and see I am not the only one with an indulgent weekend... :)
Thanks all for the miso soup info :)
All the best for those of you still only part way through your day :)
Good night to all our friends down under :-)

I too am fasting today. Unbelievably I paid a visit to our local M&S store (The Meadows) and did some food shopping...on an empty stomach! I would never have been able to do this before without buying loads of naughty food. Instead ai came away with a selection of delish Fuller Longer meals and I'm all set for tonight. I even treated myself to a butterscotch mousse (which I'm hoping will taste like angel delight...mmm). I'm making myself hungry now...doh!!

Have a great Monday fast, fellow fasters!
Back on track after two weeks of. Can't say I feel good, slight headache and - hungry!!
@nursebean I could never go food shopping on any other diet without buying a ton of crap food. With this WOL I feel more in control and like to do my shopping on fast days. I find it easy to say "No, not today". If I go on a non-fast day I tend to buy more crap. Strange but it works for me.
@Wolfie I hope today passes quickly for you. You know you'll be fine once you're back in the swing of things. :)

Happy to be fasting today as I had friends over for a dinner party yesterday. Lots of food and wonderful wines but now I feel quite dreadful :dazed: and looking forward to tea and not much food today.
I am doing 4:3 this week for the first time in preparation for my 2-week holiday in Africa starting Nov.18. I'm very excited but likely won't be fasting while away for the longest period since starting this WOL. I am going to try to keep low carb and hopefully my "full" button is working. Will likely need support and advice here when I get back but very excited right now.
Happy fasting everyone. :like: :clover:
Hello lovelies! I'm in today. Happy to have (finally) had a loss on the scale last week, now to deal with this week. I have a film screening this evening, so not sure how I will handle that as I usually do the one meal at dinner. I may just have an earlier dinner at my desk before heading to the cinema.
