I'm in and coping so far. This time around I am finding it so much harder to complete a fast. My new motto for fasting is 'Determination feels so much better than self loathing'. I'm repeating it to myself every time I open a food cupboard, the fridge door or pass hubby's candy jar that's on his desk.It seems to be working so far. I have had two minor slip ups, two breaded chicken goujons and a small sliver of cheese. I am debating whether to eat dinner or not, as I usually find liquid fasts to be much easier than having small meals. But, I originally switched to liquid fasts after a few weeks fasting, this time I am trying to get straight back on to the liquid fast bandwagon and finding it very hard.

I have a holiday in August to aim for, I would like to be 15lbs lower in weight before then, I would be happy with 10lbs.
@justdee - I'm in today!

Finished my eats for the day now...started off with a fruit platter, lunch was vegetable stir fry with turkey and for supper I had a yoghurt drink and weight watchers chicken noodle soup.

Feeling a bit peckish, having eaten SO MUCH over the past week or so (went home and indulged in numerous meals), but going to have a couple of pints of water and settle down to Corrie!

Planning on fasting tomorrow, too, so as to get them out of the way. Thai meal on Thursday :)

Best of luck everyone xx
Hi @pinchypops great to see you x
I too have finished my cals for today but have a few left for a low cal hot choc at Corry time x
@julieathome you are a saint having to pass hubz candy jar..i cdnt do it and i know you find jelly babies hard to resist..i think of you whenever i see them xx
Just keep holidays in mind and those 10 - 15 lbs you' ll shed..they' ll be worth the effort..
its great you have a mantra! X
@pinchypops - You seem to get so much more than I do for your cals, I've had a bit of soup this afternoon and chicken and veg for dinner.I've really found it tough today but only had 402cals so far. May have a little something later if I need to. Thanks for the heads up about corrie :) I always forget it's on and then miss most of it.
All done too. Had a few too many calories but not worried. It was my decision to have it and I will continue on track the rest of the week.
Me all done too! Have to say, am not a fan of back to back! Wnt be trying THAT again in a hurry! :curse: xx
@justdee - the fruit salad came in at 180, the veg stir fry (consisting of red onion, pepper and mangetout) plus the turkey came in at around 200, whilst the soup was only 56 cals and the yoghurt drink was 34. That comes in at around 470.

Are you sure you're not overestimating your calorie intake?

I'm tempted to go back to just having two meals in a day, so as to have larger meals. Fasting tomorrow I will attempt to do so and have soup at around midday (filling up on coffee and water in the meantime) - if it all gets too much I'll make sure I have a small fruit pot to hand for emergencies!

Best of luck, hope you enjoy the soaps xx
Hurrah - I've done it. First proper fast for a while, I was thrown off kilter by Easter and other things. I was going to do liquid only, but forgot I had arranged to meet a friend for lunch, so had this, which was lovely

Just black tea tonight. Hoping the scales tomorrow will show I've fixed the weekend's excesses
Third fast in a while finished. Had: one glass of ice coffee (47kcal), water, water and more water. Small portion (less than the 1/4 of the dish I could have) of Hairy Dieters Jambalaya (First book), so around 300 and half a glass of red wine. Under 500 if I manage to calculate right. Look forward to lunch tomorrow ;) Of to bed with yet another glass of water and a book.
Think have come in under target. I have a sweet tooth and miss a biscuit with tea etc but have had a few zero sugar sweets at 9 cal each. I am surprised to see even sugar free chewing gum has some calaries!
well, so far this hasn't been too bad.. but its still early. Only 4:30 here in Texas. I had a large salad (minus the turkey!) and some soup for lunch. Had 35 calories worth of baby carrots just a little bit ago (snack) and I still have my apples for later. All will total about 450 calories for the day.

Just gotta get through the next bit of the day!
Ooops a bit late getting back, but I managed it. Apart from the two chicken goujons and the sliver of cheese I had home made chilli con carne which was more beans and tomatoes than beef with green beans and brocolli on the side. I went over my allowance by 80kcal which isn't too bad at all.
Fasted today without really even trying, but that's not a good thing as am just totally off food for personal reasons :( I probably even fasted yesterday too by accident. Very unlike me, and not great on this wol!
Lovely avatar @DanaLea73 and @banthafish sorry to hear youve no appetite, for not good reasons x
Hi,@Milly107, doc can't see a break in xray of sons foot but we find out for sure today when he gets the report. So that'sgood news, thanks for asking. Doc reassured me that i made the right decision by waiting a day and not sitting in emergency all day on mothers day!
