I'm in too today - happy fasting everyone! :clover:
I'm in. Trying a Mondays fast instead of Tuesday, to see if it works better. Have just had the Hairy Dieters Pan Hagerty Lite @ 213 cals for a reasonably substantial lunch, very tasty. :like:
I'm in today for the first of 3. I didn't feel hungry over the weekend and had less than TDEE on both days without trying, then this morning I woke up feeling really hungry Grrrr!! At least it's only one day. Having sunday lunch for dinner tonight as wasn't in to cook it yesterday. Looking forward to that :)
Have a great fastday everyone. You in today @pinchypops??? I've not heard from you for a week :)

Ever since I realized my thyroid levels was shot again, I understood why fasting wash hart near impossible to do at days. So I have tried the 16:8 (tried mind you) the last couple of weeks but it has done absolutely nothing to my weight  Quite the opposite, during the last 4 weeks or so I have gained 2kg. Well I know that it's not only eating and drinking that is the culprit, the thyroid balaha can be blamed on some of it too.

But right now it's Monday 12.38pm and I have had nothing but water and my meds  Every single eating molecule in my scream for something - a yoghurt, a cherry tomato a ......But I managed to clench my teeth and just suffer.

John (the 15yr) has been dropped of at a friends house for a serious LAN party and it is uncertain how long he will be there - at least until tomorrow afternoon. So it's just me and The DH for dinner, will make that Hairy's sticky rice dish again - it was yummy. OK, so it's 12.41pm now and The DH get home at 6pm the earliest = 5.5hrs at least until eating.... :starving:
I'm in. So far a pot of mint tea and a cup of coffee. We are viewing a house in a couple of hours, which I am nervous about as I want it SO much, but so do lots of other people. So I am a bit too nervous to eat.

Chicken and veg tonight. Good luck everyone.
I'm in. I'm off from work this week, but I have PLENTY to do, so I don't think it will be a problem. This might end up being my only fast of the week, so I better make it a good one! :)
Hello Monday fasters! Gosh the majority of you already have BMIs below 30! I wish I had but of course that is why I'm joining you today :frown: but I do have sore buttock muscles from cycling 13 Kms on my exercise bike so I am trying to catch up
I hope you all have a good fast day.
I'm in, I usually do a complete fast on Mondays but with having been oooop north for the last 4 weeks eating and drinking for England 7 days a week, it will be bliss to have a day without food. How weird is that? In spite of my culinary and alcoholic tartan excesses, I don't feel any heavier and the tape measure round my waist is much the same so I may have got away with it. 16/8 or less on a daily basis has changed my life beyond my wildest expectations, not once did I bust my window in Scotland (there was never any need to ) and I have survived with little or no weight gain, it just doesn't get better than that, does it? I just wish I could sprinkle some of my success over the ones who are struggling as I feel a little bit guilty but I did my time on the porky step and remember how frustrating it was so, hang in there girls, it will work for you, honest. Off for another black coffee, see you all later,

Ballerina x
Isis - I don't think a majority are under 30. I think there are a wide range of people on here in different stages of their weight loss. I myself am just under 30. Looks like your are on your way too!
Hi all!

I managed to gain weight this week, but the Tanita scale assures me it is all water. Let's hope it's telling the truth.

The snow is finally off my garden and the crocuses are up, so I have lots to do replacing mulch, etc. So I will finally be getting some exercise after being stuck in the house all winter.
@isis Ididn't start off under 30!
Yep, me too. Didn't do any last week as was away, now I need to crack on as before I was losing the odd pound or two, lately I have lost nothing (also blaming thyroid and dodgy meds!)
Time to get hold of my life again!! Anyway, so far so good today, looking forward to a salad with some chicken from the £1 shop!
I had read that fasting gets easier and i must say i was sceptical, but today i found it much easier and only had a slim a soup up until 6pm. I have just had an m&s fishcake and a beetroot salad and feel fine considering it's only my third fast i am very happy so far.
I wasn't sure I would get a fast in today as I was going to a spa with my friend. However the food was so expensive there we didn't bother to eat just swam a lot and stopped for a coffee on the way home; she had cake but I resisted. So it looks like a fast today after all. Just had quorn mince in gravy with sprouting broccoli, carrots and a few peas. No idea how many calories but low enough :)
I had dinner about half an hour ago. A skinless chicken thigh with loads of veg and a splash of gravy. I was feeling ok until I had it and now I'm just soooo hungry. I won't be having that on a fast day again, it just didn't cut it. I think it's because I normally have a big salad and by the time I've finished chomping through it I really feel like I've eaten loads. I'm going to have a coffee and see if that puts the hunger monster to bed. I've only had 312 cals today so still have cals left to have something else. Just don't know what to have for 188cals or less that's going to fill me up. Any ideas very welcome :)
