Morning all. I'm fasting today after a weekend of being force fed carbs and wine whilst being away.
I'm checking in late today! Happy to be working in Canberra today where the weather is gorgeous! Such a busy day, great for a fast day - hardly noticed it fly by. I'll need it - lots of functions and outings this week to manage.

Happy day to everyone, see you at the next fast
I'm in for Monday too. The scales weren't very kind this morning, after a delicious weekend! (You know what I mean?)
Still let's do this thing and hope it restores the downward trend.
Good luck all!
Force fed, eh?! @rawkaren?! Did you go anywhere nice?

I'm in today. Had a week where I felt as though I was going back to my old ways. I've eaten lots of chocolate, I had some ice-cream (well it was Carte-Dor!) and I even had a rather large piece of M&S cream Victoria sponge. It was lovely but a little while later I really thought I was going to be sick...I blame the camomile tea!!

Anyway, really need this fast. Have a good one everyone!!

With relatives. But it was my fault not theirs. Just an excuse to blow out. I felt like I really needed to fast yesterday but I just carried on. :curse:
Hello all another fast underway :)

Happy fasting x
I'm in, hoping to hit my interim target this week so it needs to be a good one!
I'm in. 80.9kg this morning. Difficult getting out of bed this morning, set my alarm on snooze THREE times! Happy Fasting everyone x
I'm here too. Need it as family get together last night involving pizza takeaway. Oh well. Had grapefruit and vegetable soup for tea.
Good luck!
Morning all, a lot of messages in the thread today already!

I'm in today, have had wine over the weekend, so need it. Good luck everyone.
I'm fasting, it's not 9.30am yet here in the UK, but I'm already really hungry. Need this fast though, as I OD'd on carbs and sugar over the weekend:( Weight back up to same level on my Monday morning weigh in, that it has been for 3 weeks now, so all in all, rather fed up!

I haven't really tried soups on a fast day. Do you just stick to vegetable so it is easy to calculate calories? I love lots of soups with pulses in but find that difficult to calculate amounts and I always want to eat too much of them as they are so delicious

Hi sorry I took so long to respond, Denwoman. I love soup and I did see a documentary some time ago that featured Dr Mosley that talked about soup being better in some respects than eating solid food. The doco is 10 Things You Need To Know About Losing Weight and I have included the link here:

http://vimeo.com/18339967

If you go to 32 mins 40 seconds you will see the 6th thing you need to know and that is eating soup.

Generally, because I am lazy, I just have two cans of Campbell's soup on a fast day. As a male, I get a few more calories in my allowance so two cans of soup (not the condensed stuff but the ready made soups) usually adds up to 2400-2500kj. Perfect. A woman can have maybe a can and a half a day. Never fails to fill me up. I eat twice a day on fast days.

Here's the link to Campbell's Australia for the kj content. Two serves per can, remember...

Anyway, thanks for the question. I hope this helps. Enjoy the documentary if you haven't see it before.
I'm in. Usual Monday bleurgh at work (HATE Mondays) and a. the scales weren't good this morning and b. I don't feel well so I'm grumpy. Not really in the mood to eat though which is good. Hey ho. Good luck everyone.
Nearly through my fast day :D
OH has been very cruel and baked lots of mini chocolate muffins, which I have somehow managed to resist - probably because tomorrow is my weekly weigh-in...
He is testing out the capabilities of our new mini-Weber before we go away for the weekend, and tonight is his only free time in which to do this. I don't really mind - means he will have responsibility for all the baking, not me!! :) :)
(He made damper on the weekend. I know, I know, lots of white carbs, but it sure was yummy!)
Count me in!
