I'm in... had a BIG roast lunch yesterday, but at least that means I can have a little lean chicken in my salad today!

Can't believe it's still only 20th - why is January such a drag of a month? :curse:

Hi-de-hi fasters!

I'll be making cauli-crust pizza later, with leftover roast chicken on it.
@kelkelkelster I used to have IBS type symptoms which for me I think were caused more by bread and pasta. I've been doing 5:2 since last May and the attacks have cleared up, although I haven't been consciously cutting carbs on non-fast days. So I think just having the repair days has been good for my guts.

I suppose it depends on your goals - my main motivation has been to lose weight, which I'm doing, and I'm delighted also that the IBS has improved. But I've been a very 'slow loser' and even gained 3 pounds since November - as I'd like to keep losing weight I've just started reducing carbs more deliberately, to see if this makes a difference.

Blimey always hated January when I was working - the longest month ever to pay day - especially after the overspending at Christmas :grin:
I'm in and feeling like this is a good fast, I am freezing cold though which is not funny...am about to do a quick bit of exercise to warm myself up.

Not sure what to have for dinner tonight, I'm going to see if I can find any inspiration...
I'm in today. Third week after a holiday break. Weight right down to pre-holiday and working toward new goal. My first M-Th fasts were remarkably easy after a couple weeks off. I should add that I didn't go crazy over holidays, so that helped.
Hello everyone. I'm in and at work. Much easier. Except I finish on 15 mins.
I'm in here in the USA. It's my third week of fasting since my Christmas and New Year's break. I over ate a bit this weekend, so it will be good to get back on track.
Hi! I'm in, first fast since the beginning of December. I was getting worried about my hair loss and anaemia, and thinking fasting could have been having an effect, but as my jeans are getting tighter and I'm feeling more sluggish, I'm feeling more motivated. Need to think more positively, so hopefully getting rid of a few pounds after Christmas will help me think clearly. Felling cold and hungry though!! Good luck everyone!
Hello fellow fasters, hope it's going well for everyone.

I'm fine apart from battling with chocolate cravings. I know I can have it tomorrow but this is definitely an emotional craving rather than a physical one. So annoying!

Ah well, I'll be strong :)
I have been in today and roped in my manager at work so we are helping each other along.

Going to my mums tonight for a beef stew - yummy!

Oh and we tried Chicken Bovril today... very tasty..
I'm in today. Planning baked cod w/lemon & dill and a salad for dinner. Going to try an instant miso soup for afternoon when the grumbellies hit. Good luck to everyone today, can't read all the posts yet, but you all keep me motivated and going! Good luck today.

Lunchtime here on the east coast of Canada but no lunch for me today because it's Monday and that's fast day. So far so good. Yogurt and berries for breakfast and planning a chicken stirfry for supper.Thanks for all the motivation - it's much easier to do when I know I'm joining the Monday Fast team! :like:
