That sounds good @mkmacphee I do breakfast too. (a lot of people on here seem to wait until dinner, but I don't know if I can do that!)

I just got back from my 3 mile walk. I never thought I'd exercise on a fast day, but I did it today and I feel great!
Hey there

A good fast day today, have had 2 thin oatcakes mid afternoon, 4 teas/coffees with milk and some herbal teas too. I've not long had a mug of bouillon which tasted amazing and soon I'll be heading downstairs to make a mushroom & spinach frittata (with a few shavings of parmesan on). Mondays are usually my easiest fast as I'm in the zone - would like to do 4:3 this week but we'll see!
Well a good fast day & whew we resisted the temptation of Welsh cakes & chocolate biscuits. We have just eaten M & S Green Thai Chicken Curry that was delicious & highly recommended from the Fuller Longer Range. We are great fans & particularly also like the Beef & Red Wine Casserole that is comforting on a chilly day. I have just started feeling very chilly this evening with the temperature dropping outside so it may be taking a hot water bottle to bed for my frozen toes
I also fasting today, second week in and much easier than last week  I have been working at home today, so surprised it was so easy to stay away from the fridge - busy day so not too much time to think about it. Ready for dinner now (chicken and stir fry)but not ravenous. I dropped a kilo last week so that has certainly spurred me on  It is also great to have the extra support that this site gives.
I wasn't planning to fast but I certainly need it

I added up the calories I've had far and it's coming to 550 so I'm going to see if I can fast the rest of the day. I'm not hungry at the moment and if need be, I can have a cup of miso before bed :-)

I feel good about this
Well done @isis for resisting all that - I love hot water bottles, so warm and cozy
Good fast today, liquids all day and have just polished off a prawn and veg stir fry...delish
I started my second fast last night. I'm surprised to be facing a second fast and here I am doing it. This morning I'm having an egg for breakfast.
Not feeling extremely confident, but I did it last time I think I can do it again.
Good luck to those just finishing the monday fast.

Congrats on dropping a kilo @alisons!! I'm still on my first week and now doing second fast. I'm amazed by your weight loss. did you do anything else other than fast on the fast days? Are you allowing some naughty foods (I hope so because i am) ?
Keep going!! j :clover: o
Well, that's my fasting day nearly done and dusted!

Nothing all day except, decaffeinated black tea (not my choice but the doctor has decreed decaff for me from now on). This evening I had cold roast pork (from yesterday's roast), three tiny boiled potatoes (skin on), runner beans, broccoli and a half portion of peas. About two hours ago I had natural yoghurt and blueberries with a very small amount of honey.

I know that this is more than 500 calories but when I started this WOE, nearly a year ago, I promised myself that I would never obsess about calories again - having done so for years. So - now I don't! And it works!

Congratulations to our newbies for your successful fasts and good luck to those of you who have still to complete your fasts! Onwards and downwards!
Hi @cblasz and @mkmacphee. Re how many meals you eat during a fast day. My hubby has always had 3 meals on fast days since March and has lost 16-18 KGS. I started off with 3 meals and when all the talk started up about 16:8 I realized that I've never been a brekky person and happily dropped that after about 4 months. Then I liked the idea of a longer fast for the supposed repairing benefits and tried going without lunch ( but I would always have some frozen soup in the fridge at work if I wanted/needed it). I can do that pretty easily now after about 6 months but I don't find that I wake the hungry monster if I eat lunch like a lot of people do. Anyway, just thought I'd share my thoughts to show you that all our journeys are individual and whatever works for you is the best way.

AnnieD wrote: I'm in today. Very pleased with myself as since early December I've had a week-long business trip, 50th birthday, Christmas, New Year & last week another week-long business trip. I managed to get 500g under weight before all that & am now only 500g over so that's a real result :)

1 fast & all should be back in line, with no real challenges in sight at the moment :like:

Well there you go, all sorted :like:

I have NEVER passed such an "eating period" and come out the other side with NO WEIGHT GAIN. Christmas always used to be the start of another slippery slope of weight gain, feeling fat & down about my weight in miserable-January was always a recipe for disaster - somehow it never motivated me to knock those extra pounds off, quite the reverse !

Thank you 5:2 & thank you forum friends :) :)
@julianna thanks! I eat breakfast and then nothing until dinner. I've just always been a breakfast person and I am teacher, so I think I need that energy. I don't find that it makes me any hungrier.
@julianna Thanks so much for the great advice and support.I love to hear from those who have been with the program for a while
