Hi all

I had a couple of half hearted fasts over the hols but today's the first 'proper' one. I put on about 3lb which isn't too bad considering the amount of meals out and scoffing at home! I am confident that a couple of weeks of 5:2 and trying not to snack too much on 'normal' days will sort that out.

Lots of drinks at work today and 2 thin oatcakes around lunchtime so am looking forward to making some hot & sour chicken noodle soup with some bits of chicken from Christmas dinner (got out from the freezer!) - mmmm.

Good luck to all the newbie fasters - it really does get easier!

Back on fast today after long holiday of not fasting.

Hopefully, I'll drop the 4 lbs. I gained over the holidays. No more excuses for me :dazed: :dazed:

Happy New Year everyone!
having joined in November and having a great start, I completely lost the plot over the holidays - quite annoyed with myself, however no looking back! Line drawn under it and back on track as of today - fast gone surprsingly well today considering it was the first one for a good few weeks - good luck everyone xxx
Ok, I'm done! Had a really good 'drinks-only' day, then a meal of bacon, egg and mushrooms cooked by my OH. Yummy!
Sadly, I just caved at the sight of chocolates, so I've now topped 683 calories. Never mind, best day for quite a while!
Oooh for first time in a fast day,i have a headache! Ouch!
Nearly bedtime and i'm so glad..have drunk lots of water but it hasnt helped!
Back on track - I have been fasting today too...did eat a little more than 500 calories... 520, but I guess it is fine... :smile:
That's me done eating for the day - had my 500 cals in two meals but ate between 12pm and 8pm so really pleased with myself. Tomorrow is a 15 min brisk walk as part of my 10k marathon training - looking forward to it. Loving this 5:2 feeling :)
I was fasting this Monday, it's early Tuesday now here, but not near a computer to check in. Okay fast day and now back to pre-Christmas weight. Excellent! :smile:
I have done well today. Fasted all day and had a sub 600 cal dinner and now having a cup of tea with half a sugar as a treat!
Finished my fasting day at 455 calories.
Some ham & tomatoes for breakfast (65 cals )
1/2 cup skim milk in my cappucino ( 58 cals )
Veggie soup for lunch ( 84 cals )
Apple ( 54 cals )
Thai chicken for dinner in lettuce leaves instead of with rice ( 194 cals )

I am hoping the scales are kind ....
