Fasting today AND trying 16:8 for the first time. Breakfast was 40 calories as I have medication to take (must be with food). Twenty minutes till lunch time which will be a protein bar - the healthy type (no wheat/fillers).

Is that Fitow? Looks like it's hitting the east coast of China.

Edit: Oops! Checked the Typhoon Warning Centre and realised you have Danas heading your way. The weather always seems nice before a typhoon hits.

"Blammoed"? Never heard that one MaryAnn, but then never been at danger of evn witnessing a typhoon - must be scarey stuff TAKE CARE  :victory:

I'm in for my Monday mainetance fast, although today it's more of a repair fast after the weekend excesses. Hoping for a good one as it'll downgrade Thursday from a fast to a 16:8

Black coffee & loads of water all day followed by Chicken Saag & zero noodles tonight.

Happy fasting everyone :clover:
Nasty, having waited for a cyclone to hit up north, there is noting worse than the build up and not knowing what to expect.
Keep safe from nasty Dana.
Hi all,
Yes I've been in today.
Getting back to routine after a bit of a school holiday break with my DD.
I was feeling very unmotivated, but I fasted on Saturday and again today so now feel back on track. :victory:
Also missed one of my swims and my pilates last week.
After 7 months of 5:2 I've found it a bit scary how easy it still was to get off track for a couple of weeks as I wasn't away and could have fasted but just couldn't get the willpower going. :frown:
I was doing 16:8 but it doesn't seem to work well for me. I only gained a kilo, but haven't lost for a few weeks.
Never mind maybe I needed a little hiatus!
Felling positive again now so roll on dinner.
I'll have stir fry veges with an egg, then strawberries and melon.
Have a good fast everyone.
I'm having a pretty good day. The upside of a late start is that I haven't felt hungry yet and it's now 5pm. I haven't had any miso soup today. I heard Michael Mosely saying that if you fast for 16 hours, you start to burn fat off your liver, so that has inspired me to put off eating -even miso soup - for longer. Now it's time to start cutting up parsnips and pumpkin for the fritatta. Mary Anne, you're in Okinawa, aren't you? I wonder if the typhoon has hit yet. Keep safe.
I'm in! (Though I'm still in bed, it's 7.07am here. ) I hit target weight briefly last week, so rewarded myself with enough cookies/cheese/wine to be put a kilo back on. Grr. These last couple of pounds have been coming and going for ages.

Keep safe MaryAnne.
I am in! Been so busy over last few days I can't remember when I did my last fast. Think I might try a 4:3 this week as very little on social side going on and it will encourage me to drink less!
Good luck all :clover:
I am fasting too, after a busy weekend, day out on Saturday and granddaughter's 1st birthday tea yesterday, including cake I need too!
I'm in
Me too. Feeling very motivated after losing 1.3k of my 2k holiday gain.

Was having à bit of a problem typing and see my keyboard has gone French on me. Now i know why OH hates Apple.
I'm in, still feeling lousy so shouldn't have any problems not eating! This is a normal fast day for me anyway!
gillymary wrote: @daydreamer21 my licorice tea is twinings brand. It is a shock first cup but you get hooked in as it is a big flavour just what you need on a fast day I find

Batten down the hatches Mary Ann and keep safe until the storm passes

I have some veg and salad leaf seedlings so I had better get out in garden and plant out some of the before sundown. Love to pluck a green salad most days so have to get them in

Happy fasting so far so good just doing low cal fluids

Oooooh! Gillymary, I've never heard of that before, I'm going to have to give that one a shot! Thanks
I'm in. Eaten an egg and am drinking coffee for breakfast....I am such a creature of habit! Foggy and damp Monday morning but I have work to look forward to after a pretty good weekend. I made my veggie stew for the weeks fast days yesterday so all is good x
I"m in. I need to be 'repaired' today after the weekend's excesses... Mary Ann, let us know when you emerge from the storm and that you are ok.
