Me too - when we get there. Book club last night - plenty to eat and drink so looking forward to a day off!
Good luck folks. :clover:
Morning all  I' m in. Def drank too much on the weekend & couldn't face today's fast without downing a latte, but that's it now till dinner. Back on the straight & narrow now! Have a great day. Best bit is knowing how much better I will feel tomorrow
Hi everyone.
I'm in, back from the pool.
I'm happy to say I have built my laps up to 18 now, and am positively going to do the kilometre by Christmas!
Having a black coffee, then herb tea till dinner at 6pm, chicken and veg stir fry followed by some papaya and mango. Yum.
hope the day goes well for you all.
Still Sunday evening with me but I hope to be doing my usual Monday. It is good to start the week with a repair day, lets the body know the weekend is over. Hope you all have a good one.
Yep. Approaching midday. 2 coffees (dash of milk, no sugar) & about a litre of water down so far (regular walks to the loo).

Probably have 2 Japanese chicken rice paper rolls for lunch & a cuppa soup around dinner time.
First fasting day - Mon 25 Nov

First fast today..... but you know I feel great, mind you it is only 10.30am so I have the day ahead. I keep thinking about how my insides are going to be improving and I feel sooo good about this. I have been drinking water and green tea and I think I will wait until I am hungry to start on my 500 calories. I work part time and today is not a working day so it will be interesting to see if it is easier on Thursday when I am at work for 9 hours. I cannot believe I am looking forward to Thursday to see how it goes and I haven't got through the day yet!!! I imagine there will be some of you smiling and saying wait and see how you feel at 6pm!! Never mind this feels good in my head, so I know I can do it. For the last month I have lowered my food intake and added lots of salads so maybe this will help me. Nice to know there are others out there doing the same thing with you.
I'm in. Just had a miso soup and green tea to warm through. Will be checking this page a few more times today as there's a lot of left-overs in the fridge on hand. :(
Welcome yety60! Hope you have a good day. I find 4pm to dinner time the most harrowing and I can get short with people, especially when I am getting dinner ready. A touch of desperation enters my behaviour. Drink a lot and acknowledge hunger signs in the knowledge that they pass.
Fasting today but I forgot my lunch (an apple). Trouble is I kind of need to eat something as I have some medicine to take. The only place I can get to at lunchtime is a Starbucks. So I don't know what to do re. the meds. :(
I don't believe it! I've never been to Hong Kong but I have been to China! There MUST be other alternatives!!!
Sallyo, there is nothing nearby my office. Kind of remote.
Wow. 29 years and it seems like yesterday. Thanks Fishbaum. You have made me stop and think how lucky we are that can choose how we eat!

If you need to eat something because of the meds, you might just have to resign yourself to having most of your calories at lunchtime today - but you needn't go over:

If you just need to get something else in your stomach with the meds and it doesn't have to be food, you have heaps of options:

Hi All!

I'm fasting today too. So far doing well, absolutely chocka block at work at the moment so the time is flying and I'm not even noticing the hunger. Had a brief moment earlier and munched on a carrot - I definitely find I need that crunch in the afternoon rather than just tea and soup. Each to their own though, of course!

Completely over indulged over the weekend so definitely needed a fast today. Really enjoying the Monday fasts actually :)

Maybe going to have soup for dinner... although I'm not all to excited about it :)
How's everyone else's fast going?

It is usually fine to line your stomach with milk- so a skinny latte might fit the bill!
I've just cracked and had a 40cal snack of papaya.
It is the 4 o'clock terrors that sometimes get to me!
No prob really, I'll now make it to 6pm dinner.

@Sallyo- yes- 4pm to 5pm is my killer time! :starving:
I usually find though that once I start cooking dinner I'm ok.
Onwards and downwards!
