Thanks for the suggestions of coffee. I think it would be worse. 20 minutes after drinking the stuff it's a mad dash to the loo!

I'll check whether they have a roasted vegetable salad; it's the only thing that's wheat/sugar/meat free. Hope it doesn't have a dressing. (We have a different menu here.)
I'm fasting today! I'm only in week two and on fast #3 but already I can feel myself beginning to wonder if I am doing the right thing? The fact that I am not feeling that well today doesn't help (I think I have a flu.. a bit shaky and achey!)

I have read the book, listened to the audiobook several times, watched the Horizon program and I know it seems to make sense... I think that I am just still battling with the voices in my head that have had 'conventional weight loss' methods drummed into them for 20 odd years!!

I am about to have a cuppa soup so that might help take the edge off and see me through till some chicken and salad for dinner tonight... I know once I make it to tomorrow I will be pleased with myself... must.. keep.... going......

Yeah, got a side salad. One 1-cm cube of feta, one cube of pumpkin and one bite of red pepper! Phew... :victory: Thanks for the push, otherwise I would have left it.
Well done Lady Muck! Imagine having to eat at Starbucks in Hong Kong! It must be completely different from how I imagine it.I don't have a concept of 'remote' when I think about HK! Nearly there, choastocalm! Just get busy and let the hunger pass. It does! It's 5pm here and I'm feeling quite peckish. Having a cuppa then out side to do some jobs in the garden before I can get stuck into cooking tea. Then it's the down hill run.
Morning/afternoon all. I'm fasting today too and looking forward to it. Chaostocalm - its only fast 3 so you are still finding your groove. Stay busy as Sallyo says. Good luck everyone :clover: :clover:
Yep Monday fast for me this week... Had a Saturday one last week, so one day in between and back at it!. I'm starving!

Fast today thinking of those who fast (involuntarily) every day (0:7 diet). Things aren't really so bad for you after all. Not much has changed in 29 years.

That has just brought tears to my eyes.
I'm in. Usual Monday fast.
I'm in too, after a day of eating yesterday. Still our guests were vegetarian, so hopefully the food was at least 'healthy'?
Good luck everyone!
I'm in! Four weeks to lose a kilo and reach interim target for xmas! I can do it!! Happy fasting everyone x

Yes we are the lucky ones - ie we choose to fast. Welcome Marni :like: :clover: :clover: :clover:
Yes agree with that sentiment of us having the choice to fast! but living in this country (UK) where generally there is too much food available obesity is a problem. But on the plus side we are choosing to try & look after our own future health.
Joining you all fasting today to try & keep up with the Christmas Challenge because it would be wonderful to lose more weight before Christmas. So only fluids until supper tonight.
Hope you all have a good fasting day.
I shall be joining you all today as Sunday has become our 'big' meal day and I now find I need a 'rest day' on Mondays. This is a measure of how much this way of eating has changed me, I never used to need time off from eating but then again I paid the price for that one. There is no set routine but I shall not eat before midday in any event, thereafter possible just an omelette or something. Good luck everyone.

Ballerina x
I'm back on the wagon today for my first proper fast for 4 weeks after being diagnosed with a gluten intolerance. Hopefully it won't be to hard to get back into the swing of it.

Good luck to everyone else fasting today.

Dee.
